I do I don't care what u think of Ferman he said Butch has been putting a staff together now put 2 and 2 together... But he didn't know where it was for... He's not going to NFL, no open college jobs and Golden is done....

Also, I know the Vice Chair - Hilarie Bass. She is one of the smartest people I've ever known. Don't doubt she is going to be logical and methodical about this.

U guys need to take a break. This thread is like a rollercoaster ride. I'm just here sipping Kermit's tea and waiting. If they don't let Golden go I'm taking a severe break from canes football and watch from a far. The thought of 8 months more of Golden without a game is depressing enough and the slurpers will be back like last off season. This is the last stand

I was the one who posted that, a couple of days ago. As I indicated, I believe in inside information only when it aligns with common sense. The Board of Trustees acting on Monday makes very little sense given the preceding realities of the calendar. After all, we've been told countless times on this forum that Blake James is merely a puppet and that the Board of Trustees contains all the power. That power was scattered the past few weeks, and certainly not fixated on this issue.

If something starts rolling now, it's more logical. I don't doubt that Golden is weary and senses he's gone next year at this time minus an unlikely reversal. If he has a decent option to take, another head coaching position, it makes sense for him to pursue it now without the stain of being fired. Shannon and Coker were not exactly welcomed quickly in another head coaching role after being dumped here.
 
Huge mistake to hire and extend Golden. This is the Perry Clark fiasco all over again. Adm. and BOT needs to fix it and pay this clown to get out of here
 
If all this stuff is true, I'm just going to tell you right now.. you don't negotiate a buyout then just not fire the person because you can't agree. Especially not in something like college football at a major program. It doesn't work like that. I would hope the people in our admin are not THAT stupid. That's a set up for disaster. You can negotiate to see if Al wants to get whats best for both sides, but if he isn't budging on all that, then so be it, you have to pay the guy. If any of this is true, it's gone wayyyy too far to keep him around.

Al is not going to fire anyone as I mentioned and been mentioned here for the longest, it's coming to light now. Any changes would come from the higher ups or if any one of the assistants leave on their own part or just so happen to do negligence or run in with the law.

And as I mentioned the possibility of coaches being used as scapegoat.

They're trying to throw the dirt under the rug and try to paint a prettier picture in their view.

Al won't budge.



Here is where I stand. I feel my guy jumped the gun a bit too early just as well as I did putting this out there.



I have not heard a peep since 6:00 PM yesterday from him, the last he told me. "If anything were to happen it would be very soon. Otherwise enjoy 2015 with Al Golden still coaching Miami"


But where there is smoke there is some fire. Vinn's comments give me some hope that maybe the higher ups will cough it up and just move on from Al Golden soon.... Hopefully

I mean what's got to give? The guy doesn't want to be here!

dont ******* read it then. Blows my mind, people want info, some have it or at least contacts that have had good info in the past and share it as asked by people here, then the same people ***** about it.
