Downvoted for the politics. I don’t give a shlt if you’re a Mussolini’s fascist or a Stalin communist, I just don’t want to hear about it.
 
Forget about the politics, because I don’t care.

She was good for the university as a whole. That is indisputable.

Shapiro was not on her, so anybody that thinks that is dead wrong and doesn’t understand the situation. She also did a great job fighting the NCAA when they took this thing beyond the pale.

She does share blame for the overall direction and lack of attention and funding for the football program. Huge miscalculation thinking we could be a top program on the cheap. But others can be given even more blame, including the BOT.

I believe in people accepting responsibility, and she does share some of the blame for the performance of the program in general, but by no means all the blame, and possibly not even the majority of the blame. If you are being fair you can at least can see that there are others who are just as much to blame if not more.
 
She's down like 2 or 3 pts in a district that Hillary won by 20pts. In typical Shalala fashion she'll probably give her campaign manager a contract extension by Sunday.
 
So it is pure coincidence that the football program went from champs to chumps under her Presidency? And it is only now under Fenk that we are getting back to relevance? She was instrumental is the loss of Butch Davis and the cheap hires of Coker, Shannon, and Golden.

People say she was good for the school but what did she do out of the ordinary? Raise money? That is what a University President is supposed to do. Buy an overpriced medical Hospital that bleeds money? Lost us the Orange Bowl?

This is hilarious...they really blaming Donna for the Shapiro ponzi scheme? Lmao...I am not a Shall fan, an her lack of conviction led to our beloved program going down the tubes, but c'mon now...politics is so ridiculous these days.

While Frenks is a massive upgrade as President, the majority of the blame must fall on the AD's during the decade and a half of misery. Blake James was on my chit list for the longest until until he finally pulled the trigger and was instrumental in bringing in Richt.

If you don't think James and every other AD had to ask Donna for permission to p1ss much less hire a coach you need to have your head examined. There was a reason we had a rotating carousel of AD's after Dee left. And notice Dee did not stick around very long after Shalala took over.

Shalala only cared about UHealth. As a conservative I can still give her credit in helping secure donors that helped produce the Clinical Research Bldg. and the Lennar Medical Bldg... imo the Lennar is the finest medical operation in Miami. UHealth did very well under her presidency.
However, she treated the sports programs like her redheaded step child. Well now she's gone and we can get back on track with our priorities.
