Forget about the politics, because I don’t care.
She was good for the university as a whole. That is indisputable.
Shapiro was not on her, so anybody that thinks that is dead wrong and doesn’t understand the situation. She also did a great job fighting the NCAA when they took this thing beyond the pale.
She does share blame for the overall direction and lack of attention and funding for the football program. Huge miscalculation thinking we could be a top program on the cheap. But others can be given even more blame, including the BOT.
I believe in people accepting responsibility, and she does share some of the blame for the performance of the program in general, but by no means all the blame, and possibly not even the majority of the blame. If you are being fair you can at least can see that there are others who are just as much to blame if not more.
she was good for the students when she was there, but she's also the reason why the university's finances are still in the gutter. cedars was a stupid purchase at a stupid price, and that's entirely on her. i loved her when i was a student there for her focus on us, but i have zero faith in her decision-making ability for the congressional district.
that being said, the ad is stupid.
