We are agreeing on the business decision part, that's what the money is all about.

Apparently he was at Clemson's camp yesterday, right? He has held that national championship caliber offer (along with UGA and Alabaga) for a loooong time now. What changed besides his undying love for UM? I wonder.....

The reality of their pitch and the urgency of his reclassification

its this generation. they grow up with skinny jeans and are emotional like girls. We have um kids that like their tweets and wish them good luck.
I heard stories where guys like kevin patrick use to threaten kids on recruiting visits.

Whether we underachieved or not... don't f'ing commit. Recruits know what we are right now, it's not going to change over night but it can change with a new HC and our upcoming season.

**** like this is why you get backlash.

Ahhhh the endorphins from some social media likes fails miserable once again to a fat bag of cash.

What a ****** predicament, if we tell a kid to think it over and not commit yet we will get fücked over because we didnt "want" them & if we do accept it, these kids go on visits & realize they have other options ($$$$$) and we get burned.

Exactly, it’s a must at this point

We need to adopt something similar to the Clemson rule. Maybe after a few 10+ win seasons in a row we can do that. Not sure if we can tell kids to shut it down after committing after 7-6

We haven’t had many first rounders in the last 10 years because we haven’t recruited top talent that could be developed into first rounders.

Let me end this silly point, because it keeps coming up:

Miami has signed 8 composite five stars since 2008. Zero of them were drafted first round. Zero. Three were undrafted, and two were late round picks.

Alabama has signed 25 composite five stars since 2008. Twelve of them went first round. That's almost fifty percent. And many of the others were second rounders.

People need to stop being emotional and look at this like adults. We have a fifteen year track record of wasting talent. We need to prove ourselves to these kids. They don't owe us anything. It's their future.

Georgia has produced twice as many first rounders as we have since 2012. They've finished Top 10 four times. We haven't finished Top 10 once, and usually finish unranked.
You’re changing the subject because you’re losing the argument. If you remember my initial response to you, I said I understand the point of view on the aspect of winning.

I then followed suit by pointing out when it comes to development and getting to the league and staying there, specifically at defensive end, no one has does it better recently than the f*cking U.

Winning a "Natty" on the backs of others isn't that great of an accomplishment. That's exactly the problem with these kids, and many in society today. They don't want to make a winner, they just want to latch on to one so they can say they are a winner too.
This has always been the case. It’s not a society today thing it’s just a society thing

And one thing diaz needs to change is stop letting these dudes committ at 15 and then they still have 2 and 3 years left in the process.
Yeah but then they're gonna claim the U ain't showing them no love. Damned if u do and damned if u dont. Diaz is doing right by spreading our proverbial recruiting net. Cant put all our eggs in this south Florida basket

Gulliver contacts deny he’s going there but if he’s reclassify I don’t think Booker T is going to be able to work that magic. Sounds like Gulliver it will be.

Still can’t see that happening. Just develop a policy where you don’t accept commitments until prospects junior years have been completed which will be in May and only 7 months until they sign. Got to do something at this point. Because this early commitment sh*t means absolutely nothing and we know how most of those stories eventually end

Fvck every S Fl recruit and their parents. Shame on these bag chasing “adults” in S Fl. Nothing but the worst for him and his family. Front running faqqit

Back in January he was a 2021 kid. Now that he has reclassified as a 2020 kid, he obviously lost a year. Lost a year to see how Miami does & how they compete. Lost a year to take visits and play the game if that's what he wanted to do. That is what changed.
So he suddenly became a 2020 kid while on a bus ride through Georgia? Kids don't suddenly reclassify to an earlier year without planning for it well in advance unless schools have changed the way they do things.

You're moving the goalposts. Is it top 10 teams or winning Natty's and being drafted 1st round. ONly two teams of the last 5 years can say that, but yet teams like UGA are killing it because why? There's actual DATA to back up the fact that their corch blew 2 great shots at winning a natty, but don't let that get in your way
You’re missing the point. They are at least in contention. We have sucked. We’re not a good program and haven’t been. All these kids have seen from this team is failure

Manny wasn't under saban. Kirby can walk in living rooms and drop 3 or 4 rings on the table. All these kids see is he is from bama. You see recruits say that about enos and he was there just for a year.
Except they really aren't his rings. He had the chance to drop 2 rings that were his, but oh that's right he blew those chances away in game. Keep slurpin up kirby like he is some amazing coach. If the guy's fanbase wasn't buying top classes he would be right at 8-5 every year.

What round was JJ drafted? Donell wants to go 1st. If he plays decently at Clemson, Alabama and even UGA, the 1st round is guaranteed. If he plays at JJ’s level or even better at Miami, the 1st round isn’t guaranteed. That is the reality we live with until we begin to win (even dominate) and the NFL begins to value our players.
Nonsense. JJ didn't get drafted late because he was at Miami instead of Clemson. He got drafted later because the NFL scouts weren't that impressed with what they saw in the combines with his physical ability and versatility. This is why he got drafted later compared to the higher draft picks at his position (many of which came from SMALLER programs than Miami):

Weaknesses
  • Tight in his hips
  • Doesn't press and extend to separate
  • Slow to rid himself off blockers who get into him
  • Not very instinctive
  • Plays with some pad elevation
  • Short-stepper lacks range as a tackler
  • Heavy feet and lacks fluidity to play in space
  • Slow-twitch rusher with no go-to counters
  • Would benefit with better early hands to set up tackles

Yeah but then they're gonna claim the U ain't showing them no love. Damned if u do and damned if u dont. Diaz is doing right by spreading our proverbial recruiting net. Cant put all our eggs in this south Florida basket
I didn't say don't recruit or offer them. Just tell them we want to make sure you are sure about the decision. Tell them to take some other visits first.

Georgia finished 7th last year, and 2nd the year before that.

We haven't done that in 16 years.
