So if we are at $0, and gain spending power, you're saying that the big schools will not also use this to their advantage? They will also gain extra spending power the same way and continue with bigger bags. If I have $5 and you have $0 and we both get another $5 now I have $10 and you have $5. But yeah, continue imagining muh target rating point is going to be massive for a college athlete in which nobody of its populous knows anything about. Explain why I should care about the TRPs for an audience who doesnt care about it? Why would a company pay a college athlete to endorse their product or company if nobody even knows who that player is? The only term I actually care about is per capita.
You keep taking about it as if this is a going to be a commercial for beer or something plastered on the side of I-95. No, we're talking about college athletes who aren't allowed to use the school, only their likeness.
What are you even talking about? Grow up.
Also, everyone knows the Miami populous is made up almost entirely of fair-weather fans.
I would love it if this actually benefited UM and would love to be wrong, I just don't see it that way. I'm not required to be delusional just because I support a school and team, like the majority on here.
The fact that you have zero idea what a Targeting Rating Point is, tells me everything I need to know.
This is not about dollars.... This is about utilizing marketing to promote a brand and sell products. Miami resonates with the most valuable Target Markets, KKK land does not.
