I’m fine with the RB situation. Especially with that 39th pick being Robert Hunt. Dude is gnarly. The way Flores was salivating when they drafted Davis at 59 right after Ravens took Dobbins gave me the impression Davis was the pick regardless if J.K. was there to take. Would’ve like to see them trade up to get one of the better safeties but Jones in the 3rd is solid.
Weaver was a steal that late, Kindley and Strowbridge are solid picks. Agreed on taking a nickel back at 30, but that’s the kind of guy the Pats take late 1st/early 2nd, people scratch their heads, and then turns into the mosquito you can’t swat for years to come. Not to mention insurance as Xavien Howard’s off field concerns. But his athleticism is all there.
Maybe this draft seemed good because they didn’t make any head scratching picks but I’m very pleased they took Tua and then built up front. Get the flashier skill players next draft and you’re cooking with diesel before you know it.
