Brad Kaaya's passer rating for Monday night was 106.6

Bernie Kosar's (as a redshirt FR) in his first start was 81.6

My only point being that a first game does not necessarily define a career.

I don't think many people have a problem with Kaaya or his play. He made some nice throws, made some mistakes. Corch Corley did almost nothing to help that kid succeed.

Kaaya is the truth. Anyone with a brain can see that he's special. He's just surrounded by incompetence similar to good ol KW.

My only question is did Coley limit play calls due to Kaaya's inability to execute the full offense or did he Coley just **** the bed. Or both?

These next two games is what should've been our first two games on the schedule. That way Kayaa builds confidence and takes those jitters out of the way.

Kaaya did fine. Our coaches look like true freshman calling their first game.

Where did you get that from? That can't be right.

Yeah, kid was shook in those first couple throws because he was hit pretty hard. Bounced back nicely to have a pretty good game all in all. The mistakes he made were mostly typical of a freshman/rookie qb. He aimed a couple of passes like the pic to Stan, and the one to Coley. But late in the game when he wasn't worried about ******** up he threw some real bullets... However, I can all but guarantee you that come Nebraska we will see RW if he is remotely healthy.

Combine both propositions: I think Coley sh*t the bed by limiting the play book.

i give kid kaaya an incomplete grade. we still don't know how good or bad he really is...no QB wouldve looked good with that terrible gameplan and inept offensive line. hopefully he gets the proper coaching sooner rather than later because the last thing you want to do to a young QB is shake his confidence when he's a true frosh.

No offense OP, but there is nothing interesting about that stat. it was simply a function of the overly cautious passing game.

Kaaya may turn out to be a great QB. But that performance confirmed what I've long stated. The probability of success with a true freshman QB is infinitesimal. And it's even worse on the road.

As others have stated, with that offensive game plan, it was pure insanity not to start Heaps. Kaaya had no chance.

And the right side of our OL is abysmal. I am just speechless. Wait until we play a legit defensive line. I feel sorry for whoever is in the backfield when we play Va Tech and FSU.

He opened up the first half 9-12. He got to throw down field. He had long throws to Clive and Dorsett. He just missed PD on that other crossing route and then threw the pick because he threw boundary instead of up-field. When he was allowed to throw the ball more than 10 yards, he looked fine. The coaching staff really ****ed him.

not concerned for Kaaya or any other players....what only concerns me is the stats that these coaches are and have been accumulating on the loss column, we are breaking records here.

But hey what do I know, I am just a mope. Fug these corches

Somebody posted the Stat yesterday, Kaaya was something like 14-17(?) on first and second down and 3-12(?) On 3rd down. I'm not certain on the exact numbers but the point remains, Coley didn't help him one bit, especially on all those 3rd and longs. I think that was the worst playcalling I've ever seen in a game, that **** was bad. Kaaya has the goods but that won't matter if we keep calling games like that.

If anybody's worried about Kayaa after one game they're a fool. True freshman, hostile environment, no run game, horrible pass protection, WOAT offensive game plan.

I think all things considered, he played pretty good. He got zero help from anybody else on the offensive side.

Thank you! Everyone stop talking about the other QB's. Brad did excellent for the expectations most people have of a true Freshman under those circumstances. No reason to even think about benching him. He has to improve but so do Seniors around the country. Drop it! Kaaya isn't to blame. Coley and his O line let him down.
