Does Wake get in at 11-2?

The real question is do we get in with 2 losses if we lose to ND and Wake in the ACC championship
Music Video Wtf GIF

Only way Wake is in at 10-2 with two losses to us is ND loses to both Us and SMU.

If ND is ranked top 12 they are locked a spot thus the B12+ACC have 1 less spot. BUT critically only way ND isn't ranked top 12 is if they have 2 losses (I mean maybe it's possible they're out with just a loss to us, but incredibly unlikely). IF Wake beats SMU who beats ND, it's realistic at end of regular season we are 12-0, Wake is 11-1, and SMU is 10-2.

Can’t wait till wake losses two more games so this slurping of these dudes can stop. They were lucky to beat Louisville and Purdue and should be 3-3. They are probably gonna lose to SMU and another game.

I remember last years CFP committee stated teams would NOT be punished for losing their conference championship game.

They also make up the rules as they go and the deck is usually stacked against us.

They were talking about the SEC & B1G.

ACC, Big XII, American & Pac-12 will absolutely be punished for losing their conference championship game.

All of those teams should make the playoffs. Doesn’t matter how many losses they have. They’re basically a division of the NFL.
All those teams should not make the playoffs. I think you meant that they probably "will" make the playoffs due to improper rankings and the committee's bias for the SEC. I can definitely see 6 SEC teams making the playoffs this year, and at least two of them will have 3 losses.

1. UGA
2. Bama
3. Texas - this will be one of the SEC teams with 3 losses
4. Mizzou? They still play Ole Miss, Texas, UGA, UK for good teams. Texas and UK are at home. Mizzou is in with 3 losses.
5. UK? Still have OU, Tenn, Mizzou for tough games. Louisville could be the wild card. I don't think UK is in with 3 loses
6. Ole Miss? -Still have Mizzou, Texas, UGA, OU, and Miss St for challenging games. Ole Miss is in with 3 losses
7. LSU? Still have Miss State, Bama, Texas, and Tenn for tough games. LSU is in with 3 losses, don't think with 4
8. Tenn? Still have Bama, UK, and LSU as tough games, but I don't think they are in with 3 losses. They are definitely in with 2 losses
9. Miss State.? Still have LSU, OU, Texas, and Ole Miss as tough games. I don't think they are in with 3 losses
10. OU? They stink, but I'm sure the committee loves that win over Texas. They will lose at least 2-3 more. They are out.

I think UGA, Bama, and Tenn will have 1-2 losses and will be in. I don't think Tenn is that good. They will lose to Bama and then win out as the rest of their schedule isn't strong. Texas, Ole Miss and Mizzou will all have 3 losses and be in. All other teams on that list are out.

Louisville had the opportunity to beat both Ole Miss and Kentucky later in the year. That would have gone a long way for the ACC.

Tennessee will lose more than 2 games, 100000%. Bama, @SC, UK, @TAMU, LSU, and Vandy. They aren’t going 6-0/5-1 there with their QB situation.

Agreed. And that would require a one possession loss to ND and getting screwed in the ACC championship by a blatant bad call by the Tobacco Road Mafia
Yeah well you have our own fans talking about how good Bama looked vs Gerogia. Idk what they were watching. Georgia shoulda won by 3 scores.

Nah...but still a good story for the pure cfb fan. But, one of the best props in football with the Harley, makes me want to buy one.

We are beginning to see the implosion of College Football. Once the B1G completely turns against the $EC, it’s cooked.

Brief history lesson for context. Once upon a time, Steve Jobs and Bill Gates worked together. Then they didn’t. Gates did Microsoft. Jobs did this company called Apple. Apple was on the verge on pulling the plug and Jobs needed money. In stepped Gates, who could’ve smiled and let Apple die on the vine. Instead, he knew Microsoft would eventually get split up à la AT&T via Sherman AntiTrust. So Gates lent Apple the money and the rest is history. Gates knew he needed a rival.

I don’t think the $EC folks are that smart. I think the $EC believes there is an unlimited pile of cash waiting for them if they can corner the market. In the short term, they might be right. In the long term, it’ll turn into regionalized crapfests as more and more fans tune out. Ask yourselves this question - if the ACC and Miami by extension were to be continuously shut out of the playoffs in favor of three loss $EC teams, how long before you either stop watching all $EC games out of protest or stop watching CFB altogether? From my own experience, I can say during the Manny years, I felt myself drifting away from CFB in large part because our seasons were generally rendered meaningless by mid October and also because, well you guys know.

I don’t want the government intervening to fix this, but I’m also not confident the current college powers are capable. Don’t mean to sound alarmist or negative. It’s the blatant GD cheating (let’s call it what it is) that these MFing $EC schools continue doing that drives me nuts.

My dude. It's deep sarcasm. I'm at a complete loss for how people continue to fall for the SEC insanity. I called them a division of the NFL. Thought that would be a sufficient indicator of the absurdity.

The SEC needs to actually do something in the playoff as well. They have another dud year and that bias/shine will start to wear off. If they do have another bad playoff, the other conferences' reps need to drill that home.

I was about ready to give up on Miami during the Manny years. Not that I would never watch or care but why follow a program that is looking like it will just disappoint and have no relevance moving forward? I had just done this for the past two decades and was loosing steam.

Which brings us to what you started on, SEC dominance isnt good for the sport. If Im in Illinois or California or Pennsylvania, I dont ******* care about Alabama, Georgia or any of those southern states. Having half the playoff that regionally concentrated is bad for business. You are flirting with alienating veiwership.

Losing to Ole Miss in a close game then ****ting themselves is peak ACC. And that’s a big part of the problem. ACC middle brands rarely break through.

ACC (miami data excluded) is 31-62 2022-2025 in the regular season vs P4 Conference + ND opponents. 11-50 vs teams that ended with a winning record.

The stink that surrounds the ACC is justified.
