Does this mean SEC leaving the NCAA?

Imo, just posturing. They ain't going nowhere. Some of the less-resourced programs in FBS might decide to compete at a more manageable level, but that's lower-end schools making their own decisions

At this moment Sankey and Pettiti and their school presidents may want two things above all else:

1) The ability to legalyl enforce rules in recruiting, the portal and eligibility, i.e. legislation in Congress to help put a lid on the chaos we see now

2) Collectively maintain a firm grip on power at the highest level of college athletics

Gotta believe Miami is too valuable to be left behind (and to the SEC/B1G cartel the Canes likely fall in the category of "keep your friends close, but your enemies closer)
**** them. Let them leave. They’ll realize they won’t get the views they think they do

After what Golding/ole miss pulled with that LB at Clemson this is rich

They’re falling behind because they don’t have real “**** you” money level boosters. The game has gotten even and they don’t like it
Yup when billionaires can legally donate to their Alma maters. The sec car salesman advantage was cooked

Let them leave and watch what happens to their team’s when they go back to giving out car leases and a few thousand bucks in a McD’s bag while the rest of the NCAA schools continue to spend millions on NIL.

Maybe they can call themselves Division 1AA.

3 straight years without a finalist in the playoffs. We're taking our ball and going home.

SEC commissioner is acting like today’s SEC is like yesterday’s SEC when in reality they are the equivalent to Deebo getting knocked out by ice cube and a third act
