Does it not seem like this article from 2010

He is a perfect coach for Miami. He is EXACTLY what this program needed after Golden. He just needs to realize he is not a good coordinator and needs to bring in someone who is.

But the non-stop crying on this board is really shortsighted in many ways. The program is miles better than it's been in a long, long time. Richt is a fine head coach. I'm telling you guys....and I realize this is very, very unlikely....but if he can somehow hold onto Diaz and hire Kendal Briles and give him total control of the offense, this is a legit Top 10 team in Year 1. Legit. That's how good that guy is at coaching offense.

You're right about the potential if we were to hire a Briles or Kiffin. Where you're wrong is in assuming that Richt will do this on his own without being pressured by fans, boosters, and BOT. We have a limited amount of time to get this right before our window closes and reputation is damaged irreversibly. It's not going to happen on its own.

<crazy old white man voice, from the movie Independence Day> I’ve been saying it! Ain’t I been saying it! I’ve been saying this for years and THIS is why I never wanted Richt here. I watched many UGA games during his tenure there. One of the Biggest underachievers I have seen in all my years of watching CFB

Did not read and dont see how stuff like this helps in any way. I could see fsu fans sending this to recruits but not our own fans blasting it all over. Be upset thats fine but this constant Richt will never amount to anything gets us no where.
Oh it will. Golden would have been around another year if we just accepted it. At the end of the day CFB is a business.

I never assumed he'd do it. I just said IF he does, we're golden (no pun intended. At phucking all)

Who would be surprised to see Mike Bobo fired at Colorado State and hired as an assistant here next year?
I could see that being Richt's "Yall wanted a change, here's a change, now leave me alone" hire that really doesn't do much more than what he did for Richt at UGA. Which, according to the OP's link, was nothing.

Same could be said for the slurpers, slurpers gonna slurp
We then agree. Cis posters are basically worthless. Both segments have contributed nothing substantial to forum other than to try and defend their agenda. Debating society and frequent profane posts by young no nothing kids.

The really sad part about this past week is that at the end of last year, there were many positives that happened both on and off the field - our 1st Coastal Championship, 1st 10 win season since 04, the U brand was getting it's rightful recognition, relevancy that hadn't been present in years, the IPF and other facilities, re-establishing relationships with the local HS's, just to name a few. Obviously, last season ended with a dud, but the U was still relevant at the beginning of this year ranked #8.

The progress that had been made in just 2 years is now in danger of taking a back seat to the controversy of this past week. 2 steps forward, 1 step back. My hope is that Richt has enough intestinal fortitude to right the ship before it sinks.

Yeah, that's something I could see UM doing.

“The problem is what worked for Miami and FSU in the 1980s and 1990s is not going to work in the current SEC whether Richt or Bobo is calling the plays.
Add that to the fact that it was Richt's decision to waste both last season and this season by starting Joe Cox instead of playing Aaron Murray.
Had Richt played the much more physically gifted Murray over the over-hyped recruit with the mid-major arm and high school ability to make decisions when pressured fellow in Cox (and no disrespect meant to Cox by the way, there is no shame in failing to be an above average SEC QB; the truth is that he never should have been set up to fail in the first place),”

He won’t be hiring briles, or anybody else, because he is not a good HC at all.

The only area Miami is miles better today then pre-richt... is in the IPF dept.

You could b totally right, but Briles ain't comin, ergo....

This article should provide credence to all those who believe we won't see the necessary changes if Richt is left in charge.

It should also give pause to the Richt supporters who believe he just needs more time or deserves another year to sort this out.

He had every opportunity and resource at his disposal at Georgia... in the end, his ego/stubbornness led to his downfall. The sad part is many are still stuck in "the blame game" part of this cycle. Thinking Stacey Searels needs to go and it'll solve our O-Line problems. It won't make a **** difference.

Richt is a below average play caller and his system is the problem.
