The exuberance Mario has unleashed is astounding, add in the fact that Ed's Son will be coming as a future GA might do the trick...For Orgeron, to even BE at Greentree, the 1st time in 30yrs...is mind-boggling to me. And hopefully a sign that old wounds are closing....God only knows MANY more UM coaches and players have had issues in the last 30yrs....but for it to be a Lifetime ban is kind of crazy....

I don't know if he was actually ban-banned, but maybe Erickson had some issues with how things went down (which is ironic, as those two could have out-drank Fraternity Row). By the time that Butch took over, Ed was back into the coaching world at Syracuse, a conference rival.

I'm all for positive vibes, healing, and making the most of second/third/fourth chances.

“I don't know when it's going to happen," he said, "but with this staff, and this team, you're going to win it all."

Miami is a different place again man it just hits again. I used to look at the logo and be like man it sucks. It didn't have that same hit of what I grew up on. Now it's fuqin back and it hits like the old times. Excited af for the future

Well this is really disappointing. Definitely didn’t see that coming.

I was exchanging texts with a ND connect on Tuesday so I knew he was there. I told him what I knew from Miami's end. I was surprised he was there. I will disagree with him on them winning it all. That stuff is meaningless to me though so I wouldn't have posted anything about it. I have enough on my plate keeping up with the Canes and life in particular.

Personal attacks
You post 9 times a year to say that? Hilarious.

And, yes, I do not know pinga, it's not my thing like it seems to be for you. But, hey, that's OK, not that there's anything wrong with that. Love who you want to love, enjoy that pinga.
i am smart enough not to post your generally uninformed and occasionally angry nonsense. Many times I skim over your posts but acknowledge that once in awhile you add a little value.

Two smart posters agreed you do not know Pinga, but carry on with your delusions of grandeur.

The CIS user experience just improved since I have blocked you.

Bye Pinga Breath!

He's forgot more about UM FB than you'll ever in your life know.....

Look, I will be honest as ****. I am giving an "opinion" that is not my personal opinion, but is based on over 35 years of observations about how UM does things. I have seen administrators, staffers, and professors who were "let go" based on "things they did" and there was never any pretension that they could ever return to UM employment under any circumstances.

Some will complain about this, but I would imagine that the "well-known" nature of Orgeron's past employment at UM, coupled with some of the things that were reported RECENTLY (as recently as his time at LSU) would become problematic. To give an example, even if Mario "hired" Orgeron today, there is nothing stopping a sizable contingent of UM professors, employees, and administrators from going to Frenk to veto the whole arrangement. It happened at Tennessee with Schiano. It just happened at Grambling with Art Briles. And I am not sure that Mario would want his "undefeated hiring record" over the last few months to be tarnished by objections to the hiring of Orgeron.

Again, I can't stress this enough. I believe in second chances, I don't hate Orgeron, ****, I was fine with bringing Butch back too. But a lot of posters look at these things as individual people ("oh, Coach X has changed, he shouldn't be a problem") without looking at decades worth of UM hiring (or non-hiring) practices.

Could it happen? Maybe. Is it likely to happen? No.

But some posters are reeeeeeaaaaalllllly going to focus on that "maybe"...

Maybe we can just 1099 Ed O to do remote video review work from Louisiana...
I think you’re right that Mario won’t want to take an L on something like this. I would imagine that if Mario is interested he will test the waters before making a public move, so that if O showed up on staff it would be with the blessing of those who could undo the hire.

I know people love the idea of bringing back guys from the glory years, but I don’t think it’s worth it on several levels. Nothing against the guy, but isn’t it past time to just move on?
