Does anyone still actually believe in Manny?

Umm has anyone from a 6-6 coaching staff been fired as of now???? Don’t think anyone believes in the FSU Cuban Al Golden. Actually I feel the same way about the athletic department. This university has failed the fan base and I think it may be at the point of no return now.
I do not know if it will change anything but they(AD?BOT) would have to be blind, deaf and stupid not to realize BOT/AD are big part of problem......

Zero if he’s planning on retaining Enos.... if he does it’s because he’s assuming he will have two more years guaranteed due to being able to fire some assistants like Enos to buy those two years

what kind of soft shouldered **** is this?

you morons think its some magic cloud that keeps this program down.

manny diaz is a nobody, whose best offer was Temple. he never played for or coached under a championship coach. he was never around winning programs. he was a mediocre DC who had some great years and some horrible years. hes an awful position coach and a poor recruiter.

given those facts, why are you suprised hes done so poorly?

Soft shoulder? Cute, typical, and says nothing.

There is no magic cloud that keeps this program down. I stated a good many reasons why we aren't a top choice which corresponds with our last decade and a half. It isn't changing anytime soon either.

Manny did coach under a championship coach, two in fact. Might have heard of Mack Brown. While just a GA, he was around another guy you might've heard of, Bobby Bowden. They happened to win a National Championship his second year as a GA. Not sure any of that matters, but stick to the facts.

Temple offer, okay. I'm not sure what you expect for someone who has no head coaching experience. Seems like a decent entry level position in the field. Not a lot get big time offers right away and most never get a head coaching shot at all.

I never said I was surprised he's done poorly. On talent alone, we should have won some we lost. A field goal kicker alone, we win two more. I didn't expect Manny to come out and not make mistakes. He made more than I expected in the loss department for sure. So what were you getting at?

Good rant, but pointless post.

jesus another moron who thinks he performed some miracle with our defense and that he’s “smart”. he went to FSU hes a moron.
jesus another cynical idiot who refuses to believe that Manny was a good DC. How is a defense that is in the top 25 three straight years not a good D, not to mention that it was paired with a putrid anemic offense that put them in horrible situations constantly. Not saying he is a good HC, and this year was bad, but he does have the ability to grow and learn.

Mack Brown was a cesspool program when Manny went there and he got fired.

He has zero coaching pedigree. THAT is why he is failing and will continue to fail. Theres a reason guys like Howard became winners: they had extensive resumes and coached on winning teams for years.

Its not just inexperience, its a complete lack of coaching acumen. Guys best experience was as a GA in 1999??

As a position coach had he put a SINGLE player into the first round of the NFL draft? Hes been a position coach for about 15 years. He currently has zero players (safeties from NC State and backers from other stops) that are on NFL rosters. ZERO!

Has he fielded a top ten defense in his 12+ years as a DC? Yes, ONE TIME.

His best experience was under Sad Chuck Amato’s forgettable NC State, the perennially sad MSU, and getting his **** pushed in by Clemson and Wisky and BC at UM.

That’s it. That’s this guys resume. He’s a total nobody of a coach that got handed a job that he had absolutely zero business getting.

The man got curb stomped by FIU and you’re imagining he’d be 12-0 if only he had a different OC?

Wow.
Nope, I'm saying it's possible with a good OC. My larger point was how long it would have taken to discover his failings. There wouldn't be discussion of him leaving in just 2 years, it likely would have taken 4 and there would be much more bickering about giving him more time.

I’ll say a couple things about Manny:

1: he realizes players use this program as a stepping stone and he’s trying to change it so I’ll give him props on that

2: as a DC, his unit finished among the worst in 3rd down conversions and he adjusted the D to fix the issue. He’s identified the issues he’s having as a HC so let’s see if he knows how to fix theseproblems

as bad as this year is, he’s proven (in a lesser role) he can identify and fix problems in the off season by being creative so if he can do that, it’ll give me hope

In other words hes 1) a fan 2) a defensive coordinator.

Also, the third down defense was mediocre again this year (48th in the nation). So his “fix” of his unsound defense hasnt held.

I believe he inherited a culture problem. The issue is he didn't cure it or even make it better. If anything it got worse as the season progressed.

I think he made some mistakes in hiring his staff. He needs to take a looooong look at his OL and OC coaches.

I have no issues with the way he tried to sell and market the team. It helped save a catastrophic 2018 class and got us some really good pieces through the portal. The problem is he didn't back it up during the season and it made him look foolish.

We'll see what he does once the season ends and going into next year.

I'm in wait and see mode on whether he has the balls and smarts to make the changes he needs.

"I believe he inherited a culture problem"

You mean he inherited a culture problem from himself right?
He is responsible for 50% of that culture problem.
He didn't just walk in here this year.

I’m not sure what point your trying to make in the first part. The 3rd down D regressed this year but it was #1 last year which is what I was referring to by “fixing” it

Bhurts really really really believes.
He believes in manny way more than manny believes in himself.
He’s calling Manny critics “hoes” now. He’s the biggest pimped out corch Manny and staph shill out there.

Guys like GoCanes and 305to954 were the fiercest Richt defenders, and now are claiming poor Diaz inherited some mess from the old coach.

These guys are so obviously employees in the athletic department it is laughable.

The irony!!
A guy that literally gargles mannys balls daily has the nerve to call anyone a hoe.
I mean manny could literally take a **** in bhurts mouth and bhurt would thank him for the chocolate cake.

People wanted butch fired. Will manny have equal success? Doubt it but I don’t take much after 1 season. This team has been under performing for almost 20 years now. We’re either the worst university at hiring coaches OR, the problem isn’t the coaching but the university as a whole. Someone will pull this program out of the depths and make it a national title contender one day. Time will tell if that person is a new coach, ad, bot or all of the above

Stated already I feel most of it comes from the offensive side, especially the QB and WR rooms. Probably stems from the way CMR handled his QBs and other favoritism issues.

Well thats rather convenient that the culture problem doesn't come from the side of the ball manny was entirely responsible.
