Does anyone remember this game?

Indiana beat OSU by 3. We beat OSU by 10.
Indiana only scored 13 vs OSU. Our D is at least as good as OSU's.
So there's that.

Ah, if Miami prevails it’ll be an upset for the ages - ie Miami-Nebraska. Canes & caveman coach are facing two-time national coach of the year, the reigning Heisman Trophy winner who is smart enough to have been considered Yale material, the oldest & most buttoned-up team in college football, undefeated titans & darlings of the media & Vegas books. Canes best weapon is a mighty mite who should still be in high school & playing against 23/24 yr old men with 401Ks. Our star RBs mother is blurry eyed & tired from five weeks behind the wheel criss-crossing the countryside. The Hoosiers will be taking over our stadium, raucous fans buying up tickets & a fat & happy team sitting in the luxury of our locker room.
End this misery, please - stage the upset.

I feel like Miami vs Indiana will be the 2008 Giants vs Patriots. Indiana (Patriots) is the undefeated favorite being hyped with the tall, smart, media darling Tom Brady (Mendoza) at QB. Crabby disciplined coach in BB (Cigneti). That would makes us the Giants, who got into the playoffs as a wild card and won a bunch of close games. They had a crazy D line and a polarizing (in regards to how good he was) Qb in Eli (Beck). Nobody gave them a shot to win. We know how that ended. Will CJ be our Davis Tyree?

People were saying the same thing before the Ohio State game. It was crazy to hear them concede that we had the advantage on the line of scrimmage both ways but still had us as double digit underdogs.

Sports media types love hyperbole, and recency bias is a real thing. Everyone is gassing Indy because they beat up an overmatched Oregon team and an Alabama team that shouldn’t have been there. Indiana has played several close games this season and let’s not forget they barely beat a dog Penn State team that had fired their coach and lost their starting QB. But to hear everyone talk now they’ve beaten every team 75-0 and Cegneti invented the forward pass.
And I'm absolutely fine with the way everyone is greasing up Indiana and gulping their bath water. I hope our guys tell the media how great they are and that we will just try to do our best but Indiana is a generational juggernaut etc............... By the time we take the field, I want our guys to be sick of hearing how great Indiana is and that we would be lucky to keep the score somewhat respectable. That's exactly what I want.

This team has proven it can beat any style you wanna put in front of them

Aggies.. Mobile QB… electric WRs, “best historic 3rd down defense ever”, and a 100k crowd on the road

Buckeyes… traditional offense with a drop back passer, best WR in college football with a slightly below him robin, 4 first round draft pick defensive players who had the best defense in over 10 years, and oh they were the defending national champs with experience.

Ole miss.. a hair on fire QB who was playing out of his mind, a team that was absolutely united from the coaching turmoil, one of the best SEC teams from a scoring perspective, and a defensively minded HC who had a stout dline that hadn’t given up much running yards

I remember this game. Seeing this reminds me, what OSU is experiencing since losing to us is bringing me much happiness. Unless they got a big transfer late tonight, they have signed no big players from the portal while expecting to get everyone. They have lost some big talent in the portal. At least 3 projected starters. Their fanbase and media are literally losing their mind. It is glorious.

Interesting comparison. Immediate reaction is Indiana is better up front than that OSU team was. Maybe not in terms of pure talent, but definitely in execution.

Biggest thing we need to worry about over the next two weeks is that pick play their DL does so well. A DT will not even worry about rushing the passer his only responsibility is to run into an OL not blocking him to create space for a rusher. It's crazy how good they are at this.

Fortunately, I have faith Mario and Mirabel will have a gameplan.
We also need to be MUCH less sloppy than we were the other night. Indiana is extremely precise and surgical, and they rarely make mistakes.

From the NCAA statistics website:

1st - Turnover Margin
5th - Fewest Penalties Per Game
2nd - Fewest Penalty Yards Per Game
