Do you want us to win out?

I don’t think we are at Golden levels yet

We especially need to capitalize on FSU being down this year when it comes to recruiting. We can’t wallow down there with them or there’s no reason for someone to pick us over them. Even if it’s just one key player it makes a difference and hopefully helps our next coach in a few years

Disagree on both fronts. We are in a worse spot that we were with Golden because Richt will be more difficult to fire.

Secondly, the recruiting class is a collection of 3 stars at this point that ANY coach in recent memory could have put together. The higher end kids that don't go to FSU aren't just going to flock here and come play for old man senile dementia-ridden Richt.

Not sure what losing out does for us. We will lose more recruits, Richt isn’t getting fired, changes that maybe forces to happen may happen even if we win out, not sure what this would accomplish other than crappy Saturdays

It gets us a year closer to him getting fired and what recruits are we going to lose? One of those high end 3 stars Richt has pathetically put together in year 3?

Yes
Winning masks a lot of deficiencies and if we end the season 9-3 that will not lead to change but staying the course. Clearly, we will not be winning an ACC Championship or another National Championship with Richt as a play caller, Jon as QB coach and Searls as OL coach. So in order to achieve our goals and not be doomed to mediocracy we have to hope the wheels fall off.
Nah fam, not rollin'

This isn't the NFL where if you lose at least you move up on the Draft order. You play to Win otherwise don't show up!!!
As for Richt, that's in the hands of Blake & the BOT. Truthfuly, I think there's a reason he's playing so conservatively, I beg anyone on this site to go back and watch games from 2016 (I didn't watch the first 3 games, but from GT on) and it was a totally differnt offense.
Thank you!! He had confidence in what brad could handle and called games with no cuffs. Diff formations route concepts. This and also a young wr core he’s dealing with. Fans lose sight of that. He’s just tryna our execute teams. And we cant

OK I'LL BITE....

Yes I always want Cane teams to win but every win puts ALL these TEARS (even mine) on the back burner for ANY changes this year or next 3-4 years just so everyone is clear.

A 15 yard field goal with .0000001 second left after Duke fumbles the snap on a taking a knee does NOT qualify as a WE BACK for us. What it will do in the mind of SUITS is to do a HUGE DESK size SIGH of relief to procrasinate on a needed decision on changes....KEEP THIS IN MIND THEN.

Yes. Of course I want my Canes to win every game they play. But ask me if I think they will.

Yup. This man gets it.

Lots of Hecht shills on the board suddenly, low IQ sunshiners eating it up.

Whatever gets Richt out of here fastest is best.

Bro if Richt gets fired it won’t be any less than 3 total years counting this year. You can under play the talent Richt brings in but we signed the #1 RB in country, a double digit 4* studs last year so don’t act like he’s has brought in good/wanted players since he’s arrived because that bull****.

More power to you hoping we lose a lot of games for a couple more years to have Richt fired. Doesn’t seem like enjoyable watching/following to me. We’ve already done this for 15 years don’t need to do it any longer

Of course

Dumb *** question
It’s not that dumb. Tell me how much that lucky 10 win start helped us progress as a team. I get what the OP is saying. If we win out, even if it’s ugly, Richt will make no changes. Is that what you want? Now, if all of a sudden we start rolling teams and win out, that’s different. I don’t see that happening. I see us getting lucky if we win out, and that will mean a lot more of the same.

Here's the thing. Richt's track record suggests that he rarely, if ever, has a BAD team. The sample size is big enough to make the assumption that even if they sputter through the rest of this season, it's very likely they'll be improved next season. His track record also suggests that while he rarely has bad teams, he often falls short of elite. So if you want to say "Richt won't win a title here" the evidence supports your argument. However, asinine comparisons to Al Golden are completely unwarranted and unfounded. While Richt may be the king of "good but not great" as his lengthy record indicates, Golden's track record suggests his teams were mostly bad with an occasional competitive outlier.
