Do we need guys like Thomas?

No you didnt say 5 more years!! But since you want proof and can't see after 3 years that Richt is a total failure maybe you will be able to figure it out with 5 more years of Richts BS what most already do including the BOT!! Go back in the hole, guy!!
Are you capable of even articulating thoughts outside of your little angry diatrabs?!? I didnt say anything about CMRs tenure here or if he needed or deserved more time, etc. My response was solely to your comment that CMR can't relate to rough kids and anyone who plays for him has to goose step to ridiculous demands of authority. None of that is supported whatsoever by his coaching career or the words of anyone who has played for him for close to 3 decades. In fact almost every one of his players (many of which were rough around the edges kids) have nothing but positive things to say about Richt.

But that doesnt jive with your little narrative you want to push does it, buddy?

we need guys like Thomas if they had strong leadership, guys who commanded respect

Unfortunately, we have Richt...

I thought this thread was about me on this forum. I was about to get defensive.

We already had a vote on you, bro. Dan Sileo Jr. cast the tiebreaker and accidentally voted to keep you around so the excommunication never happened.

Richt never coached at Miami where there are the majority of the SFL kids on the roster or kids that are a little edgy!! Richt has suspended just about all the Qbs on the team. What he's done in georgia or where else he's been before he got to Miami means nothing to me. The talent is different here with most from SFL! And with that comes a different attitude....a little more aggressive by nature! It's different for Richt as well coming into less choir boyish personalities as a whole!

So, just with his coaching style that he refuses to change with the attitude and nature of what he has inherited on the team means that he really can't relate to the the talent and the aggressive athletes that need more then his vanilla style he has input for 3 years!! Neither does he want to listen to constructive criticism to date! If he changed things up to match what he has on the team then I would say that he could relate even if he failed trying to do so!! But the arrogant coach refuses to do so!! I don't need another year of the same sh^&t to know his BS is not working and that he can't relate to the players he has inherited on the team!

I honestly cant blame a guy wanting more for himself than his team. Hes obviously the best thing we have on offense and all we do is throw him screens twice a game lmao. Poor coaching is why this kid left, and poor coaching is why more kids will follow suite if Mork doesn't leave!!! These kids want to win and make it to the NFL, I dont see Thomas doing either if he stays in Miami.
Stop blaming these "kids" and look at the real reason he left. Yall just mad cause he's our best WR, this kids future is not your choice!
A real coach would do whatever it takes to keep the best player on the team, but Richt is to stubborn and big headed to change. He'd rather fail than compromise and change that offense.

Richt has suspended almost every QB or every QB has gotten THEMSELVES suspended?!? You must be a millenial as you personify the victim culture.

Like I said, get yours head out the coaches ***! This kid was here for 3 years and now all of a sudden he's a huge problem?? This attitude would have been well documented well before this year if he was a huge problem before now!! These kids don't want to play for Richt! Period!! But then again, it's difficult talking to someone that can't relate to where these kids come from.

LOL you speak from such ignorance I cant even continue this discussion. You're right, this JT4 diva behavior just came out of nowhere in the last few weeks. No background of this in his past at all. Smh good god, man.

Cheers, mate, im shutting the phone down.

Isn't this the type of guy who kind of built this program? Guy has an attitude. Vocal and even inappropriate at times, but ridiculously talented and actually performs when the lights come on. Wasn't JJ's teams and Erickson's teams filled with these guys? Thomas didn't get in any trouble off the field. No guns or violence or anything else. He is an edgy playmaker.

I know a lot of people think he is selfish and me-focused, and maybe that is true, but we finally win in the game that Thomas plays big.
We have a staff that can’t manage that kinda player. Obviously.

Nobody here knows the reason for the spat that ultimately lead to his dismissal. JT was talented but def has some issues that he’s still dealing with. This season def didn’t help many people on the offensive side of the ball. Dugans also needs to understand that WRs are here to catch the ball and make plays not stalk block. Cager doesn’t block well nor does he catch well but he continues to play. There is enough blame to go around. Ultimately, Thomas is responsible for him. Thomas will be missed because he was truly the only guy that consistently got behind the defense
It’s the coaches job to manage these players. When the best player on the team walks out, at a time and in a matter that can only hurt his career, the staff needs to evaluate how they deal with things.

This. This event didn't just happen out of the blue. This was building up for a long time. Remember the rumors that he was thinking of transferring last year? It's the coaches job to manage the players and situations like this. Especially important when it involves your best player. Richt has botched and mismanaged the roster, the QB position, and the season in general as bad as possible. Why would anyone think he didn't mismanage this situation as well? At this point I'm not giving him the benefit of doubt.

Jeff's talent is being overstated. He's not the first talented to player to play for a bad coach. Especially here in the last 15 years. and in those 15 years we've had some talented player failed by our coaches but they performed despite that.

He was our best offensive player. So, yeah, if you want to win, you need guys like JT. Unfortunately, Rick can’t coexist with guys like him. He left UbaGA in a virtual state of probation with all the attrition from his recruiting classes.
