Will your resentment against coach Golden and his staff carry over to your current student athletes?

My resentment never carried over to student athletes. I tell them the truth. The funny thing is that before being disrespected, I lied to kids about Miami because of my obvious bias towards Golden. I bought in as many of you did when he came on board.

Now I just tell the truth as I do about every school and that's what I am supposed to do. As fans that's tough to swallow.

What supposed "lies" were you telling to help Miami and Golden? As for being "disrespected", that seems to be the problem with the SFL mentality of players and coaches. EVERYTHING short of being coddled and catered to is being "disrespected".

You dudes really need to get off of that.. These coaches that you guys are bashing in here on a routine basis get paid about $2k a year to provide all they can for these kids. MOST, not all, are doing it as a labor of love. MOST care about the kids they coach and want to see them succeed. MOST advise them along those guidelines. Keep bashing coaches, South Florida players and keeping the stadium half full. They will continue to march out of here to help other schools win national champions. Go ahead and bash me on that but it's that damned truth. Some of you guys need to look in the mirror.

I have to take a break for a bit.

I appreciate the mature individuals in here with perspective and insight.

I noticed you avoided answering the tough questions, which is what you've done throughout this thread where you claim to want to clear the air.

What lies were you telling to help out UM and Golden before being "dissed"?

Yes, the coaches work hard, so what? Coaches work hard everywhere. But at what point does not being catered to become the same as being "dissed?"
You talk about how the kids will keep leaving to win titles elsewhere, but that's exactly the problem. UM doesn't bow down to and spend every waking moment catering to you and they are "dissing" you. Schools like FSU, Bama, Ohio State, etc. intentionally slow-play SFL recruits, drop them at the last moment, and do things that UM would be crucified for, and the SFL community still falls all over themselves the next year to get the honor of being recruited by those programs. It's a HUGE double standard.

No way he hits on this because he wouldn't turn on other schools! Miami is always coming to their schools because they are close, but if the coaches did to other schools like they do to Miami, they would quit dealing with them.

Chad I was a HUGE fan as a kid, HUGE. I watched you play when I was 11 years old. That being said, BECAUSE i was such a big fan your response hurt even more. You could have taken the high road and had every fan in south Florida on your side, instead you chose to act the way you did, and to quite frankly, allow your son to act like a spoiled rotten, selfish little **** and trash our program. If you really felt the way you say about the []_[], that you put in blood sweat and tears, the way we all saw you do, you would have smacked the **** out of your son for some of the **** he pulled, because if you think about, wasn't your son ****ting on the legacy you helped build? You didn't parent, you participated and now you've gone from beloved to bemoaned all over a coaching staff that probably wont ******* be here in 2 years anyway. Think about that.

I'd still like to hear why your issue couldn't have been discussed with Hurlie/Barrow instead of Twitter.

Again, I did not take the position of manipulating the recruiting process. That's just how you end up making the wrong decision.

So you see contacting assistant coaches to discuss like adults to be "manipulating the recruiting process" but you don't see ridiculous, public bashing of a program on social media by a high school coach who influences recruits to be "manipulating the recruiting process?" Please explain.

He chose the be a martyr.

He didn't want to reach out. He knows that if he would have requested an audience with the staff, he would have gotten it and no longer had a reason to bash the program..

So to put it simply, he was too butthurt and prideful to reach out himself and resorted to acting like a hoe instead.

When guiding young men, this isn't the best example. Real men address their problems head on and don't run to social media to ***** about it

Reading all of this I am not surprised that Q acts as immature as he does. With that said, ballsy move to come on here by Chad.

Chad,

Will you still coach at U School now that they are no longer part of the FHSAA and are moving into the independent school league?

When did that happen????

In the last week or two, according to a friend who is really dialed into HS athletics in South Florida. U School will now play in the same league as Pine Crest School, St. Andrew's and a few other schools.

He also told me that U School will no longer provide scholarship assistance on the basis that they have offered it in the past and this will result in no longer providing scholarships for some of U School's football players. This reportedly led to the exodus of some of U School's best football players who transferred to STA and AH.

Man **** this soft shoulder, nut hugging ****.

This program doesn't owe you a **** thing. This U gave you the chance to play for the best program in the country, and helped your *** way after you left. To get that degree that you left behind.

You are the one that owes this program gratitude for what you do have positive in your life right now.

Little Quincy needs the taste buds adjusted in his mouth for ****ting on this program, because it is the meaning for all great things in his life as well.

Whatever is wrong in your life, or his. Is not because of what this program didn't offer you.

If you had taught your kid how to respect others, there would have been nothing bad coming from fans. I don't blame your kid at all, I blame parents like you who let them get out of hand. This generation of kids in GENERAL is a nightmare, you made this bad stuff happen Chad nobody else. You should have put your kid in his place, my father would have never let me disrespect anyone like you and your kids did.

You guys have absolutely no idea what a recruit goes through. Absolutely NONE! The stuff coming from fans, reporters, etc. is not something you could begin to wrap your mind around.

Chad, if that's really you, just sit back and calm down. The commentary towards Quincy is from a few misguided fans, not the base at large. However, the reality is that the negativity is directed at your commentary, not your son. Please sit back, do your job and let your son live his life. I have met him, he's a nice young man with a good future. Quit making things tougher on him and yourself.

The name on this post is correct and belongs to the person writing this. I've spent a good amount of time recently reading through the posts pertaining to Quincy Wilson, University School, our coaching staff, our prospects and myself. All I can say is wow!

I know all about the football team breaking up although there are sponsors still helping players and stuff. It was more of an administration vs the coaches type thing.

I hadnt heard about them leaving FHSAA

You mean coaches, leaders of young men, shouldn't run to social media after a collapse in the 2nd half of a game and blame it all on the officials?!?!? LOL!!!

Why does any of this surprise people anymore?

So OP is Chad Wilson, he can come on Canes' Insight to field questions for disgruntled fans but can't contact coaching staff about his son....

I know the staff makes some bad decisions but no need to be the scoured lover on social media.

As we learned recently about Drummond/Valentine and a couple current players, there is more than 1 side to a story.

Everything should be TFWIW. Especially when there's butthurtedness involved.

I wish Quincy and Chad the best. There is a reason Quincy was not offered-and it has zero to do with CB or S situation. Watch what happens in G-ville when he is not playing in a few years. He will make them miserable. From what I have heard, "he simply is not good enough to put up with his stuff." Wish him and his dad the best, but the cons put weighed the pros on this one. Happens every day. Hope he makes his dad proud and all is forgotten soon. Obviously, Chad would not have posted if this situation did not bother him.

Mr. Chad Wilson,

I am a fan of you and remember you back in the early 90s...#9 shut down cornerback... I appreciate you comin on even after all what's been goin on to speak to the fans and defend your family regardless if people like it or not, I respect that....I was one of the people that wanted Quincy in this class, but was a little upset he trashed the program and made a vine video throwing away a UM letter on social media...anyway my question is if UM would have recruited him and wanted him, would he be wearin orange and green?? Did he even like Miami to begin with? Has anyone from the staff reached out to you just to clear the air? Thank You.....

I think this whole thing is a hoax. The poster comes off too intelligent to then behave in such a childish way on social media of all places.......
This is coming from someone that has made a living of ripping Al and this staff the last 3 months, but 1+1 still =2. If ChadWilson is who he is as he is portraying himself with his posts, then I just cant see such an individual handling himself they way he did. You cant sit here and say you have love for your alma mater and then act that way. No mature, intelligent and family oriented man, notice I say family because family is what most associate Miami as in terms of the football program, would go about trashing his school the way the guy did. ChadWilson, your responses have been level head and well thought, on top of that, hearing that your son Quincy owns his own business of repairing and selling I-phones at 17 is even more impressive, and not only because it would signify that Quincy is a very bright kid, but that without a doubt it would show great guidance and structure within the parental unit of this kid's life. When you add all that together, Im having a hard time believing that this same individual would act out the way he did on social media and allow his kid, to a certain degree, to do the same. It was handled very childishly, there were shots fired back in the spring, where is the patience at? The behavior in the fall and spring just dont match what Im reading now, and I know Im not the only one that is thinking this......
