Chad,
Why do you think our staff does not offer your players? I mean its obvious we missed on Skai Moore, though I understood the staffs theory of trying to get Thomas who was vey highly rated. But it just seems funny the way we have steered away from your program. Do you think our staff is leery of your program? It does not seem to make much sense....

I will go ahead and apologize for the guys on here that cannot help but antagonize you. I am sure they are struggling with their own personal feelings and obviously do not quite know how to put that into words so they just feel the need to be rude. I respect that your advocating for your son. I dont agreee with the way you went about it but who am I.

I feel like when you went to twitter or when Ice did last year it really made the staff leery because of the potential local backlash if the parents/coaches of these kids did not feel like they were given a fair shot at their desired position. Do you think this is an accurate assessment?

I took the position of observing the process not directly manipulating it. It's not my job to do their job. Those guys are getting upwards of $150k to coach at the school. I took this approach with every school. Almost 100% of responses you see from me in social media are in response to something that has come my way from another source. It's there job to recruit South Florida. I brought him to camp TWICE. If they want to send me their checks then that's a different story. All we needed to have was a conversation. They could have told me they think he sucks.

I guess DMoney's been losing at the track. It's the only way he'd allow Pete to perpetrate a hoax like this.

Must've missed his click targets on NSD with his advertisers.

Looks like it's going to be hard to answer every question. If I miss your question, it's nothing personal.

Chad (if it's the real one),

Do you plan on adjusting your approach going forward?

Why are you even on the board or even care. Quincy is gonna play big time SEC football at a traditional power. He landed on his feet just fine and can prove Golden and anyone here wrong who question his abilities. Zero reason to come to a Miami message board or take to twitter with regards to air out any grievances you may have. Why you or any respected South Florida coach airs this stuff in public is idiotic.

Coaches are going to make decisions on what is best for them and what they feel is best for their program. Some get upset because coaches don't meet with them. That should be a clear indication they don't want you. It hurts, especially when you grow up loving the school. But that is the reality of the business. People get hurt feelings sometimes. Right or wrong..

Chad,

It appears as though you feel Al Golden and his staff showed you and your son a lack of respect by not sitting down with you and talking this through. I can't say I disagree.

With that said, do you believe your son handled the response appropriately? Do you wish he did anything differently during the process?

Exactly. So far as Quincy's responses, I allowed him to express himself. YOu have to let teenagers do that within reason. If you bottle them up, their frustration manifests itself in other very unpredictable ways. He could have said a lot worse things. Fans didn't like it A) because some of it was the dirty truth and B) it was something negative about the team they love.

I raised a great child, who has made his entire family proud. Nothing anyone says in here will change that. Sorry.

Chad - Did any of the UM staff contact Your Head Coach in regards to Quincy?

JC

Chad,

Do Division I colleges subscribe to your recruiting service (gridironstuds.com)? If so, which ones? Does Miami's lack of interest in dealing with you have anything to do with that?

BTW......you should be embarrassed/concerned by your son's twitter account (I am assuming you've seen it) An 18 year old kid holding up "stacks" of cash is obnoxious and a cause for concern. One of the pictures mentioned he may have won the money gambling? Does he have a job? Where is he getting the money from?

I can certainly understand why Golden was not interested in dealing with you or your son. You seem to be more trouble than you are worth.

Again, best of luck to you and your son. I hope Quincy can function in the unstructured environment that exists in Gainesville.

This is where the issue is. It wasn't like you were just answering questions on social media, there was some very unnecessary crappy stuff done/put out there by you and Quincy. That's why people are ****ed off. You're one of the guys a lot of us grew up watching and rooting for and then we read you contributing to this social media poison against Miami. No one said it's your job to recruit for Miami, just don't be part of the group of people (like Luke) that seem to think it's funny or cool to contribute to the anti-Miami pollution. If you think that's justified to trash the program we love, then don't be upset when people here speak negatively in response - that's part of it.

This is all well and good, but why do you and your son publicly trash Miami on open forums and on Twitter? Why do U-School kids repeat the same bull**** that comes out of you and your son's mouth like some kind of propaganda. If what you say is true and you just wanted your son to succeed, wasn't the mission accomplished the moment he committed to Florida? Why all the hostility? I can't respect a man that let's his son act the way yours does in the public or on social media. As a former educator and someone who spends a lot of time with young adults, I have to think that this would have be curtailed at some point by a father as involved as you. It's a reflection of you, and that reflection sucks. It makes everyone here and in the community believe that these are your opinions too. The staff made a mistake by not having a conversation with you, but **** happens. People make mistakes. Quincy is going to an SEC school for free. I just don't get the hate.

Funny how everyone's demeanor changes when the person they've been talking about shows up on the board.

Chad, I don't know you personally but thanks for coming on and giving some of your thoughts on the process. Hopefully it can knock some sense into a few posters and make them realize that there is more to the recruiting process than they might realize.

1) He spoke the truth…. Before his feelings changed about Miami he told lies! Think about that.

AUCane

I am not sure why he wasn't offered by Al Golden and that was never my problem. Problem was never ever met with Golden. EVER! When you have a child, you want the best for them. My wife and I's best was a free education to any school. That's what you wish for when they are sitting in the back seat drinking a Capri Sun without a care in the World.

He worked hard and found himself in a position where he had offers from multiple schools. I was long satisfied as a parent. I know all too well, professional football is a slim chance. An education lasts a lifetime.

So the alumni in me had a problem that with me attending multiple camps, bringing prospects to camps, talking up the Golden regime and otherwise supporting our new head coach, he nor his staff members saw it fit to have a conversation with me about a top prospect who also happened to be my son. This on the heels of passing on Skai Moore, Jordan Cunningham and MacGarrett Kings.

Jimbo Fisher did not offer Quincy Wilson but Jimbo Fisher met with us in his office. No one asked him to do that! He did so on his own accord. That man held up the Sears trophy this year.

THat seems pretty **** reasonable.

Hey chAd u and your son trashing of the u on social media was absurd and childish.. What kind if grown man airs their grievances on social media...I will gladly meet u at biscayne boxing club so we can handle it like men... Your a joke
