I see comments saying stop being ghetto/cheap and just pay..... wtf are y'all smoking?

It's not even the fact that there are ads on this site.... it's the fact that the way these ads work are some of the worst experiences I've ever dealt with on the internet. And I'm not joking! And I'm going way way back to AOL dail-up days. The ads make the site completely unusable and the only way to navigate a thread after an ad pops up is to refresh.

This is complete nasty work. Give ppl the choice of paying...sure but don't try to bully ppl into paying.
 
And for ppl who feel like $25 is soooo cheap for a freaking sports website, why don't you guys offer to pay for your fellow Canes bros?? 🙂

Hey @DMoney can we get an actual answer on here as far as what is going on with this website in relation to the ads, taking over the website? On the real D, it’s insane on here with these ads and it’s literally making it like you don’t even wanna come on here anymore. SMH I get that you wanna make money off this website but making money and this website literally being taken over by ads are two different things. Can this be fixed or not?
 
It's like a digital protection racket... they flood your screen with ads, then offer to stop if you hand over $25. Basically they're the mafia, they smash your windows (with ads) then politely offer to stop if you pay.

On the one hand, it's only 25 bucks. On the other hand, "no" just on principal alone.

Yeah they screwed up and don't really care to fix it.

Aids, ads, same thing.

I dont mind ads. It supports the site. The issue is full screen ads with videos. Both blocking your ability to engage with the site and pausing any games you may have up in other apps.

Reminds me of **** sites I visited in the late 90s and early 2000s
