Dmoney… team Health?

There is zero chance of this being true (not saying Scott isn’t playing…no clue on his status other than his IG posts). But, Mario is notorious for intentionally deceiving the media/public when it comes to injuries.

I’d be shocked if D$ provided any sort of substantive update or clarity on the injuries.

Personally, I expect Blay to play but remain concerned about OJ, Scott and Brown (the DB, not RB). There is no way to know for sure if (or how much) any of them will play until pre-game warmups and the tweets start flowing.
Mario said OJ is back and expected to start practicing last week on the Joe Rose show.

Give me Hayden Lowe news. 3 months post shoulder normally means he should be working out. Get to January and do we get to see him for a couple snaps?
Why would you give snaps to a true freshman coming off serious injury ,who would be playing his first snaps of the season, in the biggest game of the year? Especially when you have Armando Blount or #35 who's actually seen PT this year. Make it make sense.

When you see Lowe playing, you’ll know. He is the best DL we have signed since Bain. I’m not saying we sit Blount but I sure as heck would play him ahead of Scroggins.

We also don’t know the extent of the shoulder injury. Some take 1.5 months then you can build back strength while others take 3 months and the recovery is 9-12 months to get back to 100%.

Alright someone come in here with some knowledge on Damari. Did he leave the pitt game at some point and not return? I was so busy celebrating the beat down i didnt notice. Really need him healthy esp w. OJ being the 1st game back in a long while. Dont love the idea being down scott, damari and OJ being a little rusty against a team with some weapons at WR

maybe rethink the wording

Exactly, that’s why you have to take a real grain of salt with what some of the other posters say on this board because they literally will come up with and say some of the stupidest things you’ve ever heard in the world. Just unbelievable!

Dude, are you serious right now? Seriously, are you serious? You wanna play a freshman who hasn’t played all season in the most important game this program has played in 23 years ahead of a kid in Scroggins that’s actually been producing on the field. What world are you living in? Smh you will see lowe next year, Best start accepting that to prevent you from posting stupid things like this.

Do we know the nature of his injury? Dislocation or separation? Torn labrum/rotator?

Not sure about the specific injury, but on a recent podcast D$ said it was unlikely the coaches would use him in the playoffs given all of the rust.

D$ intimated that, while extremely unlikely, Lowe had recovered sufficiently to play. At least that was my interpretation of his comments.

This may dominate the discussion following this season (spring/fall practice), but I’d like to weigh in here.

+ Lowe is more physically talented but is hurt.
+ Scroggins has been earning his way up the ladder thru hard and extra work with Bain, Taylor, and Mesidor.
+ This is also available to Lowe, but he’s not there.

He will have to OUTWORK Scroggins to play ahead of him. The sooner he starts the better.

Not what I thought we were talking about when Marion said "lace em boots up"

Thought we meant combat boots, not medical boots

Down Damari and Keionte is troubling. Damari been ballin, and physical…definitely worrying me.
Yep. Me too.

Keionte is such a key part of our defense. He covers the slot. He blitzes like a demon. He tackles well. He plays the run and controls his gap better than any of our other DBs. I’m hoping somehow Scott is able to put weight on his toe, but not expecting him to play.

Damari will be missed but getting OJ back eases that loss. On the other hand, we really don’t have another DB that can fully “replace” Scott. Fitzgerald is adequate but is much better equipped to play safety.
