This is easily to me the 2nd worse hire, behind Gattis. And doesn’t get talked about enough.

Not only can’t buddy recruit, his DL can’t sniff the QB.

Is he just here to connect with Hawaiian parents? Oregon warned y’all..

These dudes barely get to the QB on a consistent basis.. like no where near the QB.

We ended up with 5 sacks which is great but there were so many plays where we got no pressure, particularly in the the first half.

The end result doesn't tell the story playa. Maye had a clean pocket way more often than he was pressured. Once he threw those picks he started to get antsy in the pocket.

Nah we rarely get pressure. I just don't know who to blame. DL played a solid 2nd half I thought, maybe I have low expectations but they exceeded it.

Felt like we were giving them too much respect on offense

I dunno

They had like a big run or two and it totally negated anything we were doing up front pretty quickly

It was just the first watch but it felt like Steele gave them too much respect

Or maybe we just stink…

The next QB we contain will be the first. I said 4 weeks ago Wright was stealing money. Idk what tf he and Addae are teaching on defense.
 
Some of the sacks were coverage sacks. We're nowhere near where we need to be in terms of consistently creating pressure with 4 DL. This should improve dramatically in the years ahead as Kelly, Cyrus Moss and the current recruits mature & get PT. It's probably going to take at least 1-2 years before we see major improvement in terms of pass rushing (unless we add at least a couple of studs through the Portal).
 
5 sacks? Lol maye looked flustered all game… if Steele ran the spy more half the drives get negated

Nah dawg let’s keep the pressure squarely on the players on this one… sorry these young MEN need to take this one on the chin and see how they respond to wanting to finish this season
