DJ Ivey impressing

Good for him making the something out of nothing but he was not good here and that's where it counts the most

Here’s my take on it:

1) DJ Ivey had many terrible moments. He lost confidence and it caused him to underachieve here.

2) Fans mostly ignored his good moments because the narrative had already been established that he sucked.

3) A lot of people were dead wrong about his talent. When I said Ivey had NFL ability, I got the angriest and most insulting responses since I’ve been doing this. People said he had bad feet, bad hips, too slow, G5 ability, etc. Those takes were wrong.

And I’ll admit I’m extra biased on this one because Ivey is a really good young man who overcame a ton. Some of the stuff he dealt with from grown men in our fanbase was disgusting. I’m glad he shut all those people up.
It’s good to see him earn NFL paychecks but in all candor he wasn’t a good on-field performer at UM. Coaches kept putting him out there so my assumption was that he was one of the better performers in practice but folded when it was real games.

Notwithstanding that, people can be unnecessarily mean.

He's not "playing well" though.

He's barely playing at all.

He literally came in on the last play of the game for Hail Mary coverage.

But on this board, being a backup Special teamer 7th rounder is akin to being a 1st ballot HOF'er.

Good for him for finding a place in the league, but acting as if he's a full time starter all-pro is as disingenuous as it gets.
And on the worst Defense in the league

Similar to 3* SFL is 6* every were else
