Divaad Wilson Portal Bound

Pretty don't cut it . Has to be smoking...
I’m not sure if you know it or not man but we ain’t really that good (shocking I know, I just found out too) . He’s a UGA transfer and started a few games for a truly elite defense. He can play here and maybe turn up a few notches

Everyone has their taste. We haven't been bad because of our players. Coaching and development has been our Achilles heel. You can support sloppy seconds all you want. I choose to pass on the guy. Ill say this , let's let it play out and see the outcome..

I can dig it. I’m not big on the portal either but I think he can be good here. With all that being said I don’t think he’s actually coming

You guys are arguing over some dude that we can NOT add anyway because we don’t have room.

Now if I’m wrong about this, @TheOriginalCane will let me know. But with counters and all that shlt, we couldn’t take this guy if we wanted him.
Believe half of what the rules say man. **** like that tends to be a myth. He’s not a player we would go overboard for but let’s say this was an elite corner we would absolutely magically happen to have a spot for him. It’s a myth just like the salary cap in the nfl and NBA is

Because a kid transfers doesn’t make him “sloppy seconds” lol. As for the DBs development and coaching, everything factual say that statement is not true. Every DB in rotation this year will have been a 4star prospect so talent based off the star system is there. Coming off 2018 not many foreseen the obvious drop off in play back there due to a lot of new faces that was inevitable...I don’t think we take this kid but he’d definitely play here

From UGA board:

A major contributor from Georgia's 2019 defense could be looking to move on. Dawgs247 has learned that redshirt sophomore defensive back Divaad Wilson has entered the NCAA's student-athlete transfer portal.

Having entered the portal, Wilson can be recruited by other programs and can explore his options but is not required to transfer. He can elect to come back to the program if he so chooses and UGA will allow it.

The 6-foot 190-pound defender saw action in 13 games last season with two starts at the STAR/nickel position. He amassed 24 total tackles and one pass breakup while pulling down his first and only career interception in the 23-17 win over Notre Dame. He returned that interception for 11 yards.
The only game he missed was UGA's 2020 Allstate Sugar Bowl matchup with Baylor. He didn't make the trip with the team for undisclosed reasons. Wilson was expected to battle for the STAR position again in 2020 and potentially cross train at safety to help create some depth. If he does indeed move on, UGA will have Webb, now a senior, at STAR as well as sophomore Tyrique Stevenson.

Some interesting chatter on that UGA site. They think he left because Ringo is pushing for time , along with Stevenson. and it seems they are currently sitting at at least 1, maybe 2 schollies over 85.... (with wilson gone)

At this point, the only way we "could" take him is via blueshirt...and that cuts another 2021 kid out (assuming the NCAA doesn't just open the floodgates on ICs due to COVID).

I don't think anything could/would happen until we know more about any possible rule changes.

We also have to be practical on these transfer/JuCo rentals. Who would you rather take, Wilson (who was injured in a previous year, and who is now transferring with a couple of years of eligibility left...or 4-star Chestnut, who has more years to play? I'm tired of the "but he's better than anyone on our current roster" nonsense that people have tried to use with Wilson and/or Francois.

So you think it’s a myth, OK whatever you say
