Dillingham hired by Auburn

Manny Diaz is just going to ride this wave until we decide to let Richt go and take the Reigns.

I see you Manny. 😎

Why the **** would he park his Lambo next to Richt's burning dumpster? ... look for him to burn his tires right out of Richt's lot after the bowl game. ..

I am not saying he is without flaw, but Barry has been around the game for a very very long time and been covering this team for a long time.

He wouldn't be piling on if he didn't know Richt wasn't long for this world. He doesn't have any inside information, but Barry isn't a dummy and knows when someone is on the clock at this university and Richt is most certainly on the clock.

So, where is the job opening? I'm certainly not going to argue that we don't need a real OC. Right now, Richt is HC and the play caller. If he stops calling plays, there is still no open position. Someone has to leave for another job or get fired. I don't believe either will happen before the end of our season.
4 mil a year to make these decisions. Waiting until everyone else has taken top candidates is absurd. Sounds like a built in excuse for Richt to keep calling plays. "Well, we were going to hire so and so, but they were taken before we had an opening. Guess I'll keep calling plays. Darn."

It's difficult to land an OC when they don't think we need one.

We're not getting Freeze, Briles or Dillingham because CMR doesn't want an OC.

What is the point in reporting every OC hire in the country as if we are in the hunt of one of them?

Move on.

(Don't get me wrong: I'd love to have a real offensive coordinator, a real QB coach and also a real Oline coach, I simply know that it won't happen.)

Richt is an experienced playcaller. His system has worked for decades. Players just need to make plays.

I've been saying this for a minute now. This admin couldn't get Al Golden to fire his DC when he was fielding one of the worst defenses in the country. Richt is running into a similar situation that Golden did, but with offense. But with Richt's resume and cache, did we really think that Blake was going to force him into changes? This is the same thing that UGA had to go through.

On the bright side, you guys need to see the big picture here. If he goes with the status quo next year, it *may* expedite his exodus from Coral Gables. Because by all accounts, it looks like the board was willing to throw serious money at OC and wanted Jon Richt and Searles gone. Richt would've been afforded more time had he made the changes.

I call BS on the board willing to spend serious money on an OC.
Is this the same board that couldn't get the money for the IPF?
Money talks, and if you're willing to spend, things will happen
regardless of what the HC thinks or desires.
Look at Richt's OC (Schottenheimer) at UGA....do you think he
asked for that situation?

Well, let me ask you one simple question. How hard would it be for a HC that is calling plays to remove himself from that position so he can hire an OC? I personally think it's pretty easy. We aren't paying him 4 mil a year to be cowardly.

****..... well put! @ThomasM .

He actually calls 3 plays for each situation, Norvell chooses one

So he needs daddy's permission to go outside.....again why would you want someone that is not responsible for calling plays. Give me someone that has the experience and is currently calling plays.
