The ability and tendency to false start is not due to an evolutionary process.

It's a mutation. A mutation that has not been eliminated from the gene pool due to getting b*itch slapped every time you false start.

It's correctable, but the longer the practice has been utilized, the greater levels of corrective measures that are required to reverse this "tendency."

These corrective measures can come from instant punishments by the coaches - which are of limited impact to the impact of the whole team piling on and beating the **** out of the offenders at halftime and even on the sidelines.

Instant correction works on linemen just like it works on dogs.

So many coaching changes out there that we'd hard pressed to find a high school coach worth a **** even if Mario was . . . liberated.
