Is this a turnkey program? Is the NIL, facilities, talent and depth in place to be a top job? Can a good coach come in here and win it all almost immediately with what is in place?

IMO there's a weird inexplicable intangible thing that needs fixing, the tendency to play flat and stupid no matter who's coaching. I don't buy that every single coach and coordinator we've had over the last 20+ years has been terrible. I don't know how to explain it but I feel like Ive I've been watching the same crap since 2004.

Richt was more successful than Mario with Malik Rosier and paying out of pocket

I get why people keep bringing it up but end of the day how much does it actually matter if you actually do a competent job search

Agreed. But not cheaping out with NLI is definitely important too.

I'm just wondering if the support from the big donors would still be there. That's obvously given us somewhat of an advantage, that we've squandered. But that's another story.

He came the closest to fixing it, I think. Suffering from the early stages of a debilitating disease obviously didn't do him any favors.

Doesnt really work like that anymore because of the portal.

When a coach leaves, there will be so much turnover that anything great he left behind is lessened.

Yeah no doubt not saying your comment isn’t important. Mario’s biggest strength to me so far is he knows other successful people.

I think he stabilized it. That said, tanking the rest of the way will undo it and put us in deeper **** than we were in with Manny because of his buyout. Unfortunately, LSU and the gator can make moves we can’t or won’t

in this current modern era - you need $$$ and lots of it and it can't dry up, its gotta be consistent
you also need a decision maker(s) that understand(s) not only this but what an elite program looks like.

Yeah bless that man. Don’t want to make any comments since I don’t know

Just wild how Mario needs this endless infrastructure to get us to less than the same place as a guy that coached when we absolutely did not give a **** about the football program

They each decided to do certain things leading to certain results. Not that it was a reasonable thing at the time but had cignetti been hired here when Mario was, do you think he does what manny mario and others do or he’s more competent even with less talent? My point is that a competent modern evolving coach doesn’t do what many failed corches do here. It’s who we choose.

$$$ is the problem. NIL should be incentivly paid. $$$ has extinguished all desire and hunger for a bunch of kids to come “Together” to win as a team. College sports is a **** show now. Very very sad. I miss amateur athletics.
