Sorry if this was already discussed, but a FSU booster friend insists the Manny was on the FSU campus to interview for the D.C.-assistant head coach job before WT hired the Michigan State guy. Please tell me that this is not true.....

Having witnessed decades of racist anti-Hispanic comments from F$U fans at the UM-F$U games, I don't think that anyone from F$U knows the difference between Manny Diaz and Buenos Diaz...

A point of interest to me, what race are Hispanics supposed to be? My wife is Cuban and has never considered herself as anything but white. Actually, her skin is lighter than mine. I’m half Italian which give me a little Mediterranean color to go with my back Bubba white skin. Not saying there are not slurs against Hispanics, or Italians or certainly bubbas from the Bama haters here, just the loose use of race. For clarity, then when did Hispanics get kicked out of the white race?

Hispanic isn’t a race, it’s an ethnicity.

Technically, its a cultural identity which dates to the Spanish Empire. So a culture. Latino would be an ethnicity.
You can consider yourself Hispanic regardless if your white, black, red, yellow, pink, purple or green, it's more about your surroundings and upbringing. I.e., if your name is Meriko Seito, cause your parents are from Japan, but you were born in Chile, and only know Chilean culture/Hispanic culture and speak Spanish, most would identify themselves as Hispanic, as opposed to Asian or Japanese.

All these things are messed up, especially in the USA, when you look at their Ethnic and Race Identification, cause some people could probably check out 2 or 3 (i.e., Blacks are only considered from Africa).

Culture and ethnic are a blurry line.

Spoken like a true internet super-BS artist. If you actually read my post, you will see-assuming you can comprehend-that I was looking to confirm that it was NOT true. So "my claim" actually was that a connected guy told me that MD actually was on campus which I found hard to believe. But, MD is an FSU alum and so it could be possible that WT had interest. I had hoped he was confused and was really talking about Dugans.

Now whether or not my friend is a well-known booster-I don't care if you think he is, because he is.
