Maybe we can get Gus Edwards or AQM to help offset the loss of Cook. I'll take it!
Lose Cook, get Griffin..... I'll take it
On ITU he says he is checking everyday for his scores so I am sure he has not got them yet. He feels confident he will get the needed scores to get in though.
Griffin (6-7, 230) expects to have the results back within the next couple days. He’s optimistic that he’ll have done well enough to finally be able to enroll at Miami.
“I keep checking for my score every day, it’s coming soon,” Griffin said. “I feel good about my chances on the ACT. I had been working with teachers and tutors all the time to get ready. I tried to be prepared as much as possible.”
Griffin said that him qualifying isn’t as simple as a certain score. He explained the process of how it will get determined.
“Once I’m on a scale, they add up all my scores,” Griffin said. “I took it three times before and they have a total of how many points I got. I was at a 68 on their scale and I need two more points to be all set. I could be good if my fourth score is high enough.”
There is one additional hurdle in Griffin’s path but he believes he may still arrive for the start of classes on January 8th.
“I did two (online) classes already and I have one more left,” Griffin said. “I should be finished with that tomorrow though, I’m ready to make this happen. I want to get this out of the way because I think I’ll come down there whenever I’m done.”
Regardless of what transpires over the next week, Griffin wanted to give one person credit for the steps he has been taking.
“My uncle has been helping me a lot with this whole thing,” Griffin said. “He’s been there by my side through everything the entire time. That means a lot to me, he really came through when I needed it.”
Griffin is especially excited if he does indeed qualify because he’s confident it will take him very little time to make an impact athletically.
“That would be everything, that’s the only gift I want,” Griffin said. “I’ve been around here working out and I just want to go play in college. The court or the field, either one of them sounds great to me. I know it’s only going to take a few games for me to catch on and then I’m good.”
Griffin has made it his responsibility to keep the staff updated on his progress. The length of the process has understandably worn on everyone involved.
“I talk to a lot of the coaches but mainly I hit up Coach Brown every day,” Griffin said. “They want me to come in so bad and they wish me good luck with everything. We’re all just tired of waiting at this point.”
Griffin, the former B.F. Terry High star (Rosenberg, Texas), finished his career with 101 catches for 1649 yards and 35 touchdowns.
If he gets in....we gotta setup a little appreciation paypal account for his uncle!

Is that not a violation? Who knows with the ****ing NCAA...
I think he'll be better than KB. This guy is a freak athlete. He's a hybrid of Jimmy Graham and Mike Evans.
