Diaz Snubbed

I see Jeff Scott, son of Brad Scott who Richt worked with as qb coach at FSU is on the list. May be a possible OC candidate if Richt wants it and brings some knowledge from a potential ACC rival we need to beat to have future playoff hopes.

Top 3 defense, top 20 in scoring and top 12 in takeaways and Diaz isn't even a finalist? Bull****.

For my money though, the biggest snub was Kendal Briles. 4th in both total offense and scoring offense and not a finalist?

I agree on both counts.

Nobody is leaving Clem$on to work under Richt.

Farmer Fran needs to be on that list

You must be a winner to get positive recognition. Gino Torretta won the Heisman over Marshall Faulk not because he was a better player, but because we were undefeated and competing for a National Championship.

Samething with Diaz. Diaz and the Defense has been our only bright spot. Let's not play the hurt victim here. You have to WIN!

I would be shocked if it was anybody but Locksley.

I honestly think there's a bunch of coaches who could do what he's done at Bama.

He can call anything he wants and it's likely to be successful due to an overpowered run game and finally for then, a QB who is lights out with studs to distribute the ball to.

No team can line up and beat them 1v1 consistently. You can't stack the box (not that it helped much) like teams did prior to Tua. You can't drop help back to defend against Tua as they'll wreck you on the ground.

Your only chance to stop their offense is to play straight up and out talent them. I don't see that happening this year.

Guy has the best support staff money can buy as well. Sweet gig, but I'm not sure that he does anything special other than managing the ego's of a star studded roster. Tua makes his job easy if you ask me.

If Lincoln Riley wasn’t there I’m sure he’d get more recognition. But let’s be clear, it’s Lincoln’s offense. He’s been doing it since Ruff have him a shot. Your boy will never get the recognition, even if he deserves some of it
He’s only getting the recognition he is BECAUSE of Lincoln Riley.

I agree. I never said he deserved it, I just said he was gonna win it. They just look at the tape and numbers. Most people would say, well they brought in the best guys so they earned it

Right on. He could be the best and deserving, but there's a lot of talent to work with. He's getting a lot out of them and has managed the QB situation masterfully, so if he won, I wouldn't have a problem with it.

If I seemed to try and discredit him, I didn't really mean to. That kind of talent though can mask some coaching issues. I just don't really see issues at all with that offense.

We'll see how the season plays out, but what a dream matchup it would be to see some of our past great defenses line up against them. I feel they are historically one of the top five offenses of all-time and the scary part, they should be better next year.
