Thinking Back .... The Dudes that came from Temple were an unmitigated disaster.... and they were at the core of it all... sprinkling in a couple of former Canes couldn't even get that Virus of **** off this program...

Diaz ain't never lied........

Im excited about the staff, there is something to be excited about here compared to the last staff, but got**** all this stuff sounds like any time a new staff comes in, and especially the last one. Golden got it, and was cleaning house with the virus Shannon was responsible. Wash rinse repeat when it comes to the message, hopefully the results are different though.....

Diaz can talk about a virus. But it's his and Richt's job to cure the virus, not just talk about it and use it as a crutch.

This virus talk can cut two ways: a. Diaz is being honest and trying to motivate guys by calling them out publicly, or ; b. Diaz is setting up an excuse if we struggle. If this team has a virus, then it better be the kind Magic Johnson has and not the kind Easy E had.

IF he isn't careful, the virus could take cloud shape.

We will know anything until the real games start. Second half of the FSU game will be our window -- do we get better after half-time or not.

Still have visions of Ray Lewis running up the Orange Bowl steps 20 times after each practice...The heat/virus never bothered him....

Fighting the heat separated us from other teams and that's why we always owned the 4th quarter!

You mean the virus that they had last fall when they didn't show up for the game or feel like playing in the 2nd half? Or the one that looked like they hadn't studied film on the opposing team & didn't have a clue what they were doing virus? How about the virus that allowed 50-75 yds in penalties? OR was it the 1st down or red zone virus? :stupid:

GOLDENITIS. Needs to be gone.

The virus was the pussification of players by the last regime. There will be moments during next season where that will rear its ugly head. It's going to take a year or two to get all the brainwashing the fat boys did to these players flushed out.

Expect some kid like Alex Gal to leave practice one day in tears (with his *** chewed out real good) and then quit the team. In fact, I'll bet he's not the only one.

Last couple years we had system and toughness issues. The coaches have identified that and are paying attention to details like tackling and tempo on offense. This shows a high level of coaching intelligence. I also like the freedom with accountability that they've established. They are also recruiting at a higher level than the last staff. And, last but not least, the players look physically the part of soon-to-be pro athletes. I think there's plenty to be excited about.
