I think Manny has his limits as a hc, BUT I also think that maybe UM is a perfect fit and those limits can be overcome. Particularly with a good OC. Baker is just an extension of Manny on his defense.

The only problems I'm seeing on defense this season is we're still sending blitzes from 441 (WTF?), bad CB play (poor recruiting) & linebacker alignment/lateral speed on zone stretch plays.

there are some things blake does diff than manny did as DC and we do see some changes when Manny had more input last year. overall, the D will be fine. working in new LBs and Corners along with a new scheme on O that puts an emphasis on tempo and pace will end up yielding yards. gonna have to stop judging defenses by yards esp with the way the offenses are changing. even LSU had multiple games giving up 500 yards last year. when we score as quick and as much as we are doing, we will be giving up yards.
