Diaz now a candidate for TEMPLE

Huh? If you were a Fortune 500 board member, you would fire the nations best salesman if you replaced the Vice President of sales?

If you were a board member that was in the minority by a large margin, and there was no chance you were going to vote out the VP of sales, you wouldn’t care if your best salesman left the company? You wouldn’t want to offer him stuff to try and keep him? Who are you going to replace him with - do you have any other salesman nearly as capable?

I don’t understand the logic here. Do you think if the board eventually sees what you already see, and replaces the VP of sales, the new VP is going to be able run the most successful department without the best salesman? Genuinely curious about what your “best case scenario” looks like.

new coaches bring their own staff with them. very rarely do existing staff members stay on

Hard time believing Diaz will take a job up north... hard time getting his style of croots up there

Temple's past 4 coaches Al Golden, Steve Addazio, Matt Rhule and Geoff Collins all went on to land P5 conference jobs. Temple isnt exactly the graveyard for coaches some of you are trying to make it out to be.

Let him go to Temple and groom his HC skills and come back after Richt retires in 4-5 years.

We've had good luck with Temple head coaches in the past.
Smart didn’t groom his hc skills, just waited for the right job.
You don’t actually believe he was offered do you?
word was he was offered to replace golden when we hired him and he opted to come to Miami as d coordinator instead. If I’m not mistaken temples ad said as much.

If Manny does get the job, does he take Felder too? He's a Temple guy and still has family in Philly.

Why would felder take a pay cut?

Who said he'd take a pay cut? Do you know what he's making? What Temple would pay? Everyone likes to throw around Manny not leaving because of family in Miami but Felder won't leave to go home to Philly?

North Philly guy, but played at Penn State. He played for a legendary HS FB coach who was a Temple alum, though.
