People coming at Manny after the offense just **** a brick today is laughable.

Minus Malik's 62 yard run, the offense was polishing the field at a brisk 2.7 yards/play.

Never compared them. The point was that you can't pick and choose the worse performance of a unit to say they suck. Our defense performed better against LSU (which is the second performance you hang your hat on) than UGA, just like we performed better against Pitt than Clemson. But you pick the opening game of the season, and the last game without our most important player for a running game to try and say we aren't a top unit.

Yeah that was the issue, not an offense with 4 turnovers and putting d in ****** field position and on the field too much.

You are correct. You can't pick an anomaly and try to compare it to the average, BUT this defense gets ran over against every good offense we play against.

We can talk about Toledo and GT if you want......Again you can pad your stats and make yourself look good when you play shlt competition. But when Miami plays a decent O they get exposed. You think this team could stop any of the top 25 offensive teams in the nation?

I can't at all blame the D. As has been the case all year, they were given no breaks and short fields all ******* game. They manned up for a stretch there and kept it at 14pt lead for like 6 straight series. Yeah two missed FGs, but on both of those they came onto the field pretty much already in FG range. They gave the offense chance after chance to get back in that game. At some point ANY D is going to finally break when forced into that situation over and over.

That's because when we do play a good offense and shut them down people try to claim that their offense sucks.

Just pointing out facts....there are plenty of teams out there with shltty Os.....Our D is not like Oklahoma but its no where near being championship level
 
folks, we got stuffed at the LOS to, what, over 300 yds rushing and you can't see a problem here?

Its the O's fault.....we didnt have Willis.....it was cold......the players didnt care....Diaz wasnt into.....

Am I missing any excuses?

Funny you ask, because every time I bring up the stats of the decent offenses we face people say "stats aren't everything, eye test bro" or "cuz they are playing against trash coastal teams". Not wasting my time going through this for a 4th time, especially considering it's 5am where I'm at.
