Dexter Williams shoots down rumors

Based on this SBNation article covering Dexter Williams OSU visit, I get the feeling he sticks with Miami because of the small size, quality of education and overall program. I do believe he is genuinely listening to other school pitches in order to reaffirm UM is his best choice. It sounds like he let it slip distance will be an issue.

Go Canes

That's how I feel too on him. I don't think he leaves, he really is looking at his options like any 18 year old would.

I'm suprised he didn't mention Florida as on if his schools he's comparing

Miami running back commit Dexter Williams is excited to see what the Hurricanes accomplish during the 2014 season.

Williams is confident in the direction the UM program is heading.

“I think they are going to have a good season now that they get Duke back. They are bringing in some new guys that will help give the team a boost that they didn’t have last year.”

“I am still committed to Miami and not second guessing that right now,” Williams said.

The Miami coaching staff has done a good job of making it clear to Williams he is an important piece of their class.

Williams says he is recruiting his teammate at West Orange, cornerback Jalen Julius, who is committed to Florida, to flip to Miami.

Williams plans to visit Miami again soon after participating in Nike’s The Opening.

But y'all said, he's not coming to Miami right? Oh okay....

I can see it coming with a few more additions! With addition of a blue chip 2016 QB plus what we have already Wiliams can see a strong balanced championship level offense for years to come .

I don't want Jalen Julius! They gave him a scholarship to get Dexter Williams. He probably won't even end up being a gator. I want his former teammate jalen perkins from Olympia

I don't consider myself a super homer but the inferiority complex around here is getting out of control. Did someone really say that the SEC really only wanted two guys off our current roster? If I read it wrong I apologize. If I didn't, then that poster is phuckin stupid.

And btw, y'all are seriously sleeping on mccrary. He is a stud and LSU wanted him. He might not have been #1 on their de/OLB board but he could have committed if he wanted. He is a perfect player for Als system and will be what Marcus Robinson should have been for us.

Plz shut these mopes up

I'm not sold... too many factors (with the most important being his family) to believe this cat.

Unrated on 247 and some other sites, but he has some notable offers. His speed is LEGIT. If he wants to come with dex, u take him without question. Unless numbers are a factor, u can always take a flier on + athletes

Only way he starts seriously looking around is if he gets a strong feeling that Jordan Scarlett is coming or if we start the season 2-2 and show ZERO signs of improvement. (Meaning we get blown out by UL and NEB).

But ****, he wont know about Scarlett until 6 months from now like the rest of us. Until then I take the kid at his word. I think Al and company know he is a MAIN piece in this class and could make up for the loss of Dalvin Cook last year. They will not let him think that he is "just another recruit" for us.

As far as our record, I think Al knows that the bottom falls out of this whole operation if this season doesnt start AND END on a good note.

There is no such thing as making up for dalvin cook

We will agree to disagree on this. Dalvin was great and all but he wasnt "once in a decade" like a Patrick Peterson. Give it about another year or two and there will be another Dalvin Cook coming out of Dade and people will say the same thing about him. I thought there would never be another Marvin Jones.. then Lamont Green came along.., and then Nate Webster after him..., then Willie Williams after him, get my point here?..
