i don't see why this has to be an either/or situation. look at richt's recruiting history. he has no problem getting multiple blue chip running backs on the roster.
Hamilton isnt coming here.
I would rather have Hamilton.
This guy has some size and speed, but he is running in straight lines through gaping holes. Hamilton has much better feet and vision from what I can see against far better competition.
I don't follow recruiting as much as some, but let's be honest, are we dogging this kid because he's not from Florida?

Don't completely agree, but even so, that's enough for college. A big, straight-line back is about to win the Heisman. He'll bust in the pros, but that isn't my concern.
We already have backs like Hamilton. I think Whaley's size and power are a good complement. He'll comfortably get up in the 225-lb range. Nobody is gonna wanna tackle that guy in the 4th quarter.
Bring him.
Going to be 100 with you guys. This kid is from Beaumont, TX. This isn't a typical Texas kid.
This is EAST Texas. The kids from this area (Golden Triangle) are HIGHLY sought after, hungry and talented. This is almost as close as you can get to Louisiana for those that don't know the layout of Texas. This is the same area that produced Jimmy Johnson (who's from Port Arthur) and Univ of Texas and Seahawks All Pro Earl Thomas. (Who is from Orange)
This same area had 2 starting safeties go to Bama and UT this past recruiting cycle. (Deionte Thompson who went to Bama, and PJ Locke who is playing VERY well at Univ of Texas)
Central is a **** good football school.

Idk I trust Richt's eye for RB talent anyday.
I trust South Florida. Freeman, Miller, Bernard, Gore, Duke...

agree. he's already big for a HS back (with good speed) and there's no reason to think he can't grow into a big back at the D1 level. I think people forget that outside of Gus, Trayone is a big back. Personally i think he could be our most dynamic back (by reading the board I know im not alone) if given the chance. nobody on the roster has his size/speed combination. hope richt sees that and gives him some burn.
