2026 Devin Jackson, S - First Academy (Orlando, FL) offered

i was about to say based on his sgame against us he would have easily been a starter for us last year.

That's not a high bar to clear. Either way, 2 out of 7 starters is an abysmal hit rate, and that doesn't mean they'll be quality starters, much less playoff caliber. Just way too many talent identification and recruiting failures up until this last class and the offseason.

From on3 Oregon recruiting analyst - Justin Hopkins

“I do believe if Oregon misses on Joey O'Brien, they land Devin Jackson. So we'll see how that plays out in the coming days.”

all so he can cry and say we gave him a rolls royce to land his commitment when we've been in front for a year.

On3 Gator recruiting analyst Corey Bender

“One person in Devin Jackson's camp tells me they believe it's an unofficial that Florida is treating like an official visit. That's what they were told over the last 24 hours. Going to check with a few people more people on that.

If that is the case, you would think Devin stays multiple days on campus. Him and I have a good relationship, so I should be talking to him soon.

The person who informed me of the news, which is not the same person l'm referencing in this point, told me Florida wants to make a statement before the dead period. Remember, after this weekend, we go into a dead period that runs through the end of July. That's why Florida made a big push to get Bronaugh on campus today after the family left Tallahassee.

They would love to get that recruitment wrapped up.”

Safety is most concerning postion group on team, both with whats on roster moving forward, and recruiting class.
I have posted this a few times, but I've talked with his family and Devins recruitment is 100% leaning to Oregon because of the NIL offer. He can be swayed back to Miami, but time is running out and Miami has to be willing to match the Oregon number.
I don't feel comfortable saying the numbers publicly but there is a good gap that has to be closed.
