I just don’t think we have what we need in the middle of the front 7 on defense, if anything happens to Beck we’re finished and Mario isn’t a good game coach. He got 10 wins last year with Cam Ward. I don’t see it this year.

I hear you. I hope Heatherman’s defense makes it easier on the guys up front and we have enough talent there to be serviceable. We definitely need Toure to be the real deal. Lot of ifs, but I’m hopeful that this can be a more balanced team that results in more wins.

The cornerback and safety play should be much better. The offense should be solid with Beck

New DC and an entirely new secondary is tough to judge

I like all the components but with practice time being what it is these days how quickly does it all gel?

Hopefully we flip the trend and get hot at the right time. Michigan bullied the **** out of OSU but they got it to click when it mattered

No one cut Diaz any slack when King was lost for most of the season and Diaz ended up getting fired. I completely expect people to hold Cristobal to the same standard if Beck misses most of the season.

I must've missed the joke because you think Carson Beck is only a 2 game improvement over Emory Williams, and you're calling everyone else is delusional??

If we're starting Emory Williams our season is lost. There's only so much the rest of the roster could do for him. Emory is that bad.

What I don't get is Nickel will pass Emory by the time the season starts so what's all this Emory talk.

So then.. you think Carson Beck is only a two game improvement over Luke Nickel?

If Beck goes down against ND, they aren't sending Nickel out there before Emory gets his chance to **** the bed (AGAIN).

Nickel may very well be our QB of the future. But it'll be a while. It's HIGHLY unlikely that he's our starting QB against SC in 26.

All that is to say.. we're in trouble without Beck.
