I would say Sark is a better @ X's O's guy fasho but he'll be held to the fire just like Mario if they can;t get over the hump with how much they spend.....overall In the past 20 yrs We've been similar to Texas as Under achieving teams living off the past glory days (they've been better on the filed under sark recently) the main difference is they actually took their football seriously & we've treated our own program like an afterthought until Mario. That being said this yr is pivotal in proving to local kids that we are a serious football program, other throwing money at em, they arent convinced, especially in SFL. I beleive we have the best roster talent across the board we've had here in a looong while., if CMC falls flat on his face this yr its gonna get ugly for us real quick......

Like @JHallCanes said, his recruiting is abhorrent and will ultimately be the thing that will sink him in terms of running a program, but if you look at the landscape of college football, Manny Diaz is a Top 5-10 Defensive Coordinator. Lisp and all. Saying he is not a good defensive coach is wrong.

Manny is fine with others peoples players then he doesnt recruit well and other coaches catch on to his gimmicky stuff and he gets pick apart.

Yeah that’s why I’m saying he’s a good defensive coach but can’t run a program.

I would never want Manny Diaz to be the head coach at Miami ever again, but to knock the guy’s results as a defensive coordinator and coach is unjust bias. And to say he cratered the program as opposed to the real villain, Blake James, is unfair. (You aren’t, others have)

This is the problem right there.
The notre dame win is blown way out of proportion.
They were hyped up even more than we were.

Last year’s defense scked.

And that most important win that you're refering to didn’t mean sht because the rest of the season tanked as well.

I would’ve preferred to lose that ND game and win the rest of our games and the acc. But manny couldn’t draw up a defense for the rest of the season either.

At this point it’s put up or shut up for Mario. If he doesn’t want the ghost of manny Diaz to come out of the stupid comparison closet, then he better get us to Charlotte and win.

Plenty of dudes can call a defense if they have the horses to run it.

Manny Diaz isn’t a defensive savant.

I’ll take the team as it is now and where it appears to be heading over anything Manny Diaz ever did here.

Nothing personal against him.

Needs another 10 win season and to be in the ACCCG to not be a failure.

9 and winning the ACCCG is acceptable.

Anything less is an outright failure. There’s too much money and talent in this team to miss the ACCCG and playoffs again.

They were down incredibly bad with culture problems for better part of a decade

How did they fix it so fast and we are still making excuses? Just money? Or is Sark just much better than Mario?

Make playoffs, please. It's year 4. We should have made playoffs last year. So that's my measure. I really hope we make the playoff cause I fear I'm not skilled enough in moping, like some experts here. I worry if Mario leads me to mope here I will mope everywhere. Don't want that!
