I agree. I’m lowering the bar where it shouldn’t be but still, get me to the ACCCG at a minimum. Then we can have a discussion but some of these guys will make excuses again if we miss the ACCCG like they did last season.

This is all fair…I feel mostly the same way, and to tell you the truth I did when he was hired.

The ACC thing is killing us right now as far as recruiting goes…It is a two conference dynamic in CFB right now.

Im not holding Mario accountable for 2 decades of sucking. We are so much better overall as a program now than when he took over. It's not even close. Bigger, Faster, Stronger, tougher, more talented, more depth, actually ran like a top 10ish type football program.

It was the first time in decades that we entered a season with 0 top 25 teams on it. Yes, I think the schedule was a joke last season.

The worst secondary you ever seen and the DC they played under all fall under Mario.

2 decades of sucking is not an excuse at this point or last season.

What about this season… you gonna be doing 😐 if he doesn’t win the ACCCG, get to the game… what’s your bottom line for this season’s results?

But it isn't telling at all to the trajectory of the program…It is simply an indication of Cooper's interpretation of the direction of the program, or him deciding other factors what it is important to him... What if we go 11-1, make the playoff and don't sign Cooper? The problems is that in between Mario taking this job and now, the rules of recruiting has changed…Old school recruiting aces like CMC are becoming devalued. But he is still plowing away and doing pretty well, time will tell if it's good enough.



Malachi Toney has to at least be in the convo for "top kid" in one of the two classes right? I agree with you it's disappointing on Hanks and Cooper 100%, but we've gotten our fair share before this year. We signed what 16-17 South Florida kids last two cycles? Including Blount, Toney, Trader, and a kid who was a top 75 players on many lists Patterson. CMC also flipped Kelly and closed the deal with Bain couple weeks after hiring.

And if we are going beyond rankings, he's signed Frederique/Lyle/Fletcher…And now has Lucas on his roster as well.

No, I don’t think we can or will flip two 5 star DTs and a 95-98 point or above safety when we couldn’t buy a top RB from chaminade with the OL we have after the season we had with the number one offense.

And I can comment right now - I don’t have to wait til December - when you 🤮🤦🏻‍♂️🤣 at anyone who doesn’t shill for Mario like you and the other St. CoRchibal loyalists do every day here. If Mario flips two 5star DTs and a high 4 star safety you can peacock in my face all you want. Until then, 😂😂😂😂😂 at your if we flip 3 5stars or close to it, including two DTs.

The ACC is hurting us. If we were an elite independent like we once were then we’d be in a similar situation as Notre Dame and could overcome it. But when someone like @Cribby - I think it was him - posts that guys are asking for $200k more from Miami than for SEC teams, then that’s real.

He’s done nothing and cooper may do nothing. I think the point is missing on the top local target each year. Mario didn’t know innis would do nothing when he missed on him. He legit tried getting him here.

I keep telling myself the kid isn't a natural RB. His film isn't as N/S as Lingard's, but it's also doesn't show the hips I would expect from a 5 star. But the fact he could potentially be an even better LB -- I also keep thinking he could be a rich-man's James Cook. That and the fact he's local and was all Cane until a couple months ago, makes me feel like Mario's staff really messed this one up.

Recruiting is now a 24/7/365 job. Our class has holes. We didn't think it would back in May. Mario now has to fill them. If that's flipping kids later this class cycle, expanding his board and stacking 3/low 4-star Mario specials hoping he finds his next Cooper/Moten/Frederique, or going to the portal, he's got to get it done. I expect he knows that better than anyone, and will do so.

Exactly. He’s been throwing out warning signs about Mario and his lack of wanting to listen to others and adapt for a while now. He also said that Mario and staff disrespected him and his crew and gave them the cold shoulder. Also said that there were at least a couple of dumb@$$e$ on staff that were costing us recruits. With all of that, he’s still a Canes fan and wants the U to succeed.

Your’e absolutely right, then again I never paid attention to recruiting till I started coming in here , that’s y I prolly don’t get the meltdowns when we miss on kids who jus didnt want to be here..I’m positive Miami recruited this kid 110% and still will recruit him moving forward..but Texas basically bought his commitment.. if we REALLY want him we can get him by signing day it’s gonna take a BAG tho, question is does our staff value him that much ?

I’m not upset about not landing a RB and I wouldn’t pay him that but they put a premium on him. I would rather that we put the money on a high level DT or WR though we missed on those…. That’s what I’d try at least.
