they always say its money. he was basically told he will be a day one starter at RB.
Is day 1 starter a good thing for a RB in the grand scheme of things? They have a short playing life. That’s gonna be a lot of wear and tear. 3 years of being the main back. Increases chances of injury tremendously and a shorter NFL career.

It’s hard to sell being a benchwarmer to a young kid. Most don’t see the long term. Also it’s possible you wait your turn and Texas recruits a better player who’s younger.

What is Manny in year 2 minus D’Eriq King?
That is an argument I find to be lame and invalid in every sport on every level.

How good is this team/coach without one or two of their best players? 🤣

I have no idea what you guys are arguing. But this post when scrolling caught my eye. That argument is lame when talking basketball, baseball, or pickleball. Its nonsensical

Carry on

/or actually dont. I know its a long thread but if you guys have a good discussion going on. **** yeah. Do it in a non player thread if its going good or bad however you see it (this last part isn't just for you, you just caught a stray

I just find it a spurious argument to say “what would Mario have been without Cam?” QB is the most important position on the team. Take away the starter and a lot of teams fall apart.

Fundamentally Miami has a stronger team - by a significant margin - than it did in 2021. But if Beck goes down, it won’t matter.

I know Texas dropped a ton for Cooper. I think he will be good but that’s really an unknown at the college level. The portal has really changed the game. If you have a position of need you can get a proven player out of the portal. Running back is not anywhere near an area of concern for us. Mallory is a stud. There is a whole senior season to be played and I’m sure there will be some other surprising players pop up by December. Long way to go til signing day. I just want to see us keep progressing on the field and upgrading the roster.
Do you actually read what you write before hitting “post reply”? Because I don’t think you do. For instance, in your comment, you said, “I think he [Cooper] will be good but that’s really an unknown at the college level”. But then you said, “Mallory is a stud”. How can Cooper’s college career be an unknown but Mallory’s status is a stud when neither has played at the college level?

Holy ****.
