With Ray Ray it just depends on the type of season he has. He doesn't need to be a 1st team ACC, All American or anything like that but he must have some modicum of success this year. You are right that we would be down to 6 if Ray Ray left. That and who knows what we get out of Chance Robinson. Personally I think Ray Ray will stick it out(pause).

Assuming that we get the 4 WR I listed above to go with

Jojo Trader/Daylin Upshaw/Ny Carr
Malachi Toney/Ray Ray Joseph
Josh Moore/Chance Robinson

I may go after 1-2 WRs in the portal depending on who leaves.

We have to land him from a perspective standpoint.

* From our pipeline school
* Mom in the UM hall of fame
*Position of need and from a height perspective need
* South Florida elite recruit
* two sport star that can play both here.

I take 4 and a Portal. I ALWAYS calculate for portal now as it makes sense.

If he is serious about basketball then Syracuse is not the place to go either.

Yeah, sure. But moving up to 105 from 85, we are going to need more WRs regardless. I think from here on our we should be adding a LOT of HS players. Like strictly out of HS without knowing anything about how portal will play out and our current roster status I'd add YEARLY
QB - 2 (getting backups in portal isn't smart strategy to rely on imo) build backups with cheap HS guys who may leave after 2-3yrs. Rinse repeat
RB - 2 min no matter what
WR - 4 min.
TE - 2, sometimes 1 is fine if your loaded
OT - 3
IOL - 2-3. Need 5 OLine min yearly.

DT - 3 min. Sometimes 4. This is position that should see most rotation on Defense to keep guys fresh, and banking on portal is extremely costly.
Edge - 3 yearly.
LB - 2 min, mostly 3
CB - 3-4 yearly. 1 should primarily be a nickel guy every year, while at least 2 are guy you want to be outside
S - 2 minimum, 3 often

That right there is a class size around 30 every year. I wouldn't be surprised to see this closer to 35 some years purely out of HS. Portal I think we want to start only going for legit guys. Maybe like 7-10 portal additions per yr would be healthier. All the rotational/depth/development pieces should come from HS.
