To be fair, and I am going to catch a lot of **** for this but it needs to be said, Cam was part of the problem with our 2 losses. The defense is and was the biggest reason we lost those games but Cam changed a lot of plays that shouldn’t have been altered. He fell for GT and Cuse’s trap. It’s something you live and die with when your defense is swamp ***.
You are my guy! But Cuse was not on cam!!!! That’s crazy, he was dicing them. Cuse was awful coaching, a terrible holding call, two awful fumbles. GT was definitely not his best performance coaching was cheeks. Lost to a team that could barely complete a forward pass

Objectively retarded response in a discussion about what the analytics would say. Regardless how can you say there is NO EXCUSE for something analytics would clearly say makes sense. But sure deflecting something as "nerd science" is such a substantive argument to make lmao. What a dumb comment, holy ****. I get people not liking analytics and thinking it's better to go with the gut feel of "actual coaching". That doesn't make your right or that there is NO EXCUSE to have chosen to side with the analytics on a ******* coin flip decision lol.

At their 10, not 8.

I mean the goal was not to just give them yards lol. But we sucked on defense. I like how your argument though is LOOK HOW BAD OUR D IS! Meanwhile that same argument can be used to show that tying the game would have accomplished.... what?

Oh also Their 5 previous drives ended in 3 TDs, 1 punt, and 1 Fumble. So 2/5 we "stopped them" = 40%. And that was not with them playing conservatively like they would with a lead with 3mins to go. And I mean the idea made sense given Syracuse literally ran the ball like 5 times in a row when they got the ball back. We just didn't ******* stop them...

Yes... and? It's almost like trailing by 7 points with 3:40 left on a 4th and goal from your own 10 is just a bad situation to be in all-around where the odds don't favor you to win regardless the decision... Who would have guessed

smh
Lol Moar Cali Maths!

You cannot be taken seriously. At this point I don’t know if I’ve ever seen this level of sycophancy. Blaming 1/1. God bless you.
Blaming Cam for what? Unless you watched a different game than I did - and I was there - He played like complete *** the first half of the Cal game lol. And of Course our Defense was bad the whole season pretty much....

See You said Cam saved Mario in 2 games we won. I pointed out that the SAVING came AFTER he put us in that situation. Objectively that's the case, and you will notice other posters commenting the same thing. But because I say it it's sycophancy lmao. Cam is the best thing we have had in decades, I have never said otherwise. You just don't like also hearing the truth that not every ******* problem we've ever has is solely Marios FAULT that he was in full control over...

Pass on Cooper go get this years Desmond Reid or Issac Brown that we produce every year.... Go all in on KEYS and DTs.

Nobody cares about Optics we only care about winning.

Or its cause you also talk **** about marios decision making for kicking the FG against Syracuse as there being no excuse for it then at the same time **** on him for going for it against GTech lol. Which I suspect is why you don't want to make the simplest yes/no statement towards that lmao.

You very clearly know absolutely nothing about analytics, and ONLY base whether something is a good or bad decision based on its success. It's alright most random football fans are morons who don't understand how probabilities work...

I don’t remember the GT decision. And it’s not why entered the convo, i didn’t read anything else in this thread therefore i didn’t speak. Novel idea huh? **** i may even agree with you on GT. But it’s not what I’m discussing.

I’ve forgot more about anlytics than you will ever know you. And “analytics” as you so broadly describe it is not infallible especially when your entire season is on the line. You are as annoying and clueless as the announcers that parrot “but the anlytics, but the analytics”.

Go away you bratty little t-w-a-t.

Well I personally think there's nothing we can say we're on the same level with when it comes to Texas. Optics, end results, whatever. They're just a tier above us as a program.
Well simply sticking to recruiting since I thought that's what all these conversations were about just look at the difference the last 3 years between us and them simply as a composite recruiting class come signing day... Now if you tie in the optics, the results, the fan base no argument at all. Night and day they're on a different level then us. Recruiting itself though, nah, not really... Apparently it's only our fan base that doesn't realize in the last 3 years we have had the number four class the number five class and the number six class and each of those took some last second defections to get them that low. To me at the University of Miami a school that has never recruited in that capacity routinely that's **** impressive.

Uh no analytics aren't infallible. I mean by definition of what they are it's just trying to slightly given you an edge. The closer something is to a 50/50 call the more justifiable either decision is. But notice I haven't been critiquing you believing Going for it was the right call. I literally already said I think in the gameday thread I probably wanted to go for it too. However I'm critiquing you saying their is NO EXCUSE for the decision and as one of I'd guess your many examples of Mario being a "terrible" gameday coach. To me I'd 100% take a repeat of just about all the gameday decision Mario made last year again this season, cause overall they were all good.

Like Tell me if we get the stop after kicking and Cam has the ball with 1-2mins left for a game winning drive to win the game with a TD, would you still be saying no excuse cause the decision was SOO terrible? Cause at the end of the day we had timeouts with 3:40 on the clock and they ran the ball ******* 5 times in a row - we just didn't stop it. For there to be no excuse to make that decision to me its like saying its a >80/20 call.

I do think its funny though that you forgot more about analytics than I'll ever know, cause I suspect you're an older guy, who are notoriously ANTI-Analytics and don't believe in any of that nerdy nonsense lol.

Is that what you call all that?

I mean…
Relly Stats > Cali Maths

But I’m just here as a civilian illustrator and storyteller putting gif to papyrus for the history books. Carry on as you will. I’ll be here if you need anything.
Good thing for my argument he provided absolutely zero stats then lol.
