Dereon Coleman Midseason SR HL

Huntley is horrible and one of the worst qbs I’ve seen. Colemans release is unique. It’s quick and explosive. I’m curious to see how he performs in Dawsons system with the quick screens and how he will play behind a massive OL
You clearly did not watch him in college.

Lightning quick release. Good arm. He's best on short and intermediate throws right now. He will have to learn to use his legs more and step into deep throws over 30 yards. His velocity will improve as he gets stronger, adds weight. I'm hoping this kid works his tail off when he gets to Miami. His arm talent, his release, and the WRs being brought in, this offense could be terrifying for defenses.

Same dudes in here saying he'll never see the field are same dudes who want the husky QB in the portal when they are verrry similar...y'all trim as ****

-Hope I'm wrong, but I don't see any of the QBs on our current roster starting barring injury, Coleman included.
-The current strategy of bringing in guys who have taken lumps and losses somewhere else has worked and will continue to work. You've built a program that is turnkey for high-level QBs who want to increase their stock.
--Before you give me a thumbs down, tell me what 3- or 4-star QB recruit has led the team that recruited them to a playoff or conference championship.

Not unreasonable. Most HS QB's bust no matter the rating. The last group of 5* have been downright garbage. Coleman will most likely not do much, but he's absolutely got a stick of dynamite on his hands to work with.

Looks like a lot of bad footwork habits, which can be worked out if he’s coachable. He clearly is a great athlete with a strong arm. Will depend on how hard he is willing to work and his football IQ if he pans out here. I think with the portal, it’s not as important that a guy like this hits, would just be a huge bonus.

First-team All-Pac-12 quarterback played in 37 career games with 33 starts, missing eight games with injuries … 23-10 record as the starter, which ranks third all-time in career wins … broke the school records for career completion percentage (.672) and single-season completion percentage (.730), yards per pass completion (14.1), passing efficiency (177.55) and total offense yards per play (8.3) … 20 career 200-yard passing games ranks fourth all-time at Utah …

Tyler Huntley would of saved coaches jobs here. If he is horrible i want horrible. Dont care whatg guys do in the nfl...in college he was an all conference qb.

Miami should make a deal with FAU and have FAU be their development program...Coleman plays at FAU for a couple years then comes over to the U.

Been saying that since we landed Jacurri Brown. Even more important now that the portal is mature. We need our starters to have real game reps. The NIL guys NEED to make this happen. Nickel and Coleman are wasted riding pine.

I get it you like Huntley. I’m not watching a Utah Utes football game. They don’t have the athletes I like to watch. I’m a big Baltimore Ravens fan and watching Huntley play. I cannot be convinced otherwise he trash af.

Their throwing motion ain’t even similar Huntley is elongated and Coleman is quick and explosive. The only thing they have is common is they are black with average to below average foot speed.
