Jeter didn't know what he was doing, tbh. Really, the team should of been sold to Mas. Sherman and Jeter were broke after they bought the team from that p***y, Loria. Now, they got no money and the team still sucks. Destroyed the OB for this bullshyt? Dumbass Miami politicians.

Team needs to move to Nashville. Would fit perfect for the NL East

If the team had moved to San Antonio like Jeff Loria threatened to, I don't think a single person in the tri-county area would have cared. Local government is just stupid and corrupt as ****

The franchise needs an owner who’s actually mega rich for owner standards. Someone like Ruiz honestly who’s willing to see what happens when you pour money into a team with a domed stadium. Someone where it’s personal instead a creative accounting ploy to get tax breaks on other business and pocket luxury tax.

You can see the hype around the Panthers with a little winning and an exciting product. People who never watched hockey are coming out.

You can be relevant in this town you just have to win. Ask the Heat

And if you don’t, you won’t draw flies to the ballgames. Ask the Marlins

Mlb sucks.

Unbelievable to me they don't have a cap.

They have an extremely soft cap and the players are refusing to play unless it's raised.

I don't think parity is MLB's problem. They probably actually need the Yankees to dominate again to get more eyes on it.

Agreed. The problem with the Marlins is that for the last twenty four seasons, the team has lacked ownership willing to consistently invest in the team. There have been so many firesales and teardowns that they have completely squandered the goodwill of their fans. Honestly, they shouldn't be here. The Marlins should move to Nashville or Austin or some other city where the ground has not been salted, so to speak.

Then take that stadium, raze it, and put back in place exactly what should have never been removed to begin with.

and this was prior to the fire sale after Luria left

If the Marlins are to stay, they'll need an owner who will pore money into the franchise for at least a decade and operate at a loss. It will take at least that long to overcome the mistrust.

The people of San Antonio didn't deserve to go through the fire sales. Not fair to them.

SoFla, perhaps entire state, is not a very good baseball fan state. There exists a baseball culture, but it is more to do with amateur and participation in the sport, not with showing up to a bunch of games every spring and summer....in the northeast attending baseball games is part of that precious 3-4 months where you can enjoy the warm weather whereas in Florida you have summer 10-11 months..totally different culture in that regard...

Bud Selig doomed this franchise by selling it to the guy that destroyed one of their best franchises in the Expos.

Miami, Broward, and Palm Beach produce more baseball players per year than they do football players but all these dudes grew up a fan of another team because Loria is one of the worst sports owners in history.

The problem with baseball is their antiquated stance towards sportsmanship and bland old school approach to sports in general. The games are boring and the fans are boring.
I knew baseball was fcked when the old heads lost their minds over one of the best moments in baseball in the last 20 years
You want to attract young energetic outgoing athletes that can express themselves more than ever and you shame that man.

They need new blood in ownership And all areas that touch that game
The **** college World Series is more enjoyable than that sht sometimes.
