Our fanbase also knows better than most what a Tommy Moffit trained team can do. This isn’t the same ol A&M; or even the same ol Elko-led model i.e. compared to his time at Duke whereby another former Miami S&C coach David Feeley, not Moffit, ran the training.

I do believe the loss of Colin Klein is a significant one. . . . Holmon Wiggins is a first-time play-caller this season.

That game was weird though. All the missed kicks, basically zero passing game for us. I didn’t leave that game thinking TAMU was a really good team. They felt closer to a 9-3 team than 11-1.
 
We can talk all the **** we want, but aTm's D gave us the biggest challenge. Their D line was getting pressure. I have a feeling we could be meetings them in the playoffs often

If Dawson would have just kept feeding Fletcher it wouldn’t have been close.

This. We kept trying to be cute with toney plays when running Fletcher into that over aggressive front was absolutely shredding them for gains

Dawson got bailed out that game… he called a better OSU and ole miss game though to make up for it but Fletcher could have put up video game numbers up

He’s got a ridiculous amount of talent to work with this year, so no excuses. If I can pick 1 thing to upgrade, it would be OC. He had his head up his *** 1st half against Indiana. Seems like he never comes into the game with a plan. If we had an OC equivalent to what Heatherman is, it would be a wrap!

Yeah, as long as our OL is just decent, no excuse for this offense to not put up huge numbers.
 
They tried this type of spending spree when Jimbo was there but the scary thing now is I think Elmo is a decent coach and they have a pretty decent staff who might know what to do all these studs they are accumulating.

Eh Il take Mario. Elko is an x and o coach, but I don’t know if he can instill the toughness, development and wining culture to put them over the top.

I’m not saying I’d take him over Mario and our staff but that he’s a pretty good coach and they’ve spent decent money on their staff and it’s a whoooooole lot better than when they tried this type of spending spree with Jimbo which only led to mass defections when all these 5* stacked as backups got butthurt because they couldn’t get on the field and hit the portal.

I hear you. Wel see if that part changes. When your writing blank checks, it has to catch up to you. For them to lock up guys the way that they are, they have to be spending quite a bit more than everyone else.

Yep but that oil money is usually larger than most any other kind of money and if anyone can sustain this type of spending it’s the teams in Texas with oil and Oklahoma with natural gas.

I’m just waiting for SMU ,who might have more to spend than any of them goes on one of these sprees…

They were in a lot of close games too despite all that talent. I agree that they take a step back this year in the W/L column.

Ehhhh the intense winds basically made us one dimensional and they couldnt do anything to stop us once Dawson got his head out his *** and ran the O thru Fletcher..I Specifically remember a play where JOJO trader cooked his man and was wide open for an easy TD pitch & catch and the wind Basically Obliterated the trajectory of the ball in the air..

It was a very close matchup talent wise. Without playing in a wind tunnel I think we win by 17.
