Had injury either end of last season or spring. It has been very quiet on what it was but there have been hints of an injury.

Yeah not saying he didn’t get love but more as a returner. Maybe his actual receiver skills undersold a bit?

If Blount had not reclassified he would be a true freshman 5star DT. I think he is going to eventually be a full time DT here, he is the most powerful defensive lineman on the roster.
The SAM in this defense is like a big nickel and is only used in packages. So Smith will be in for certain situations, the base defense will have Scott playing Nickel. There have also been reports that Smith is fully healthy, no knee brace, and has been running with the ones since spring. Hetherman really likes LB with length (pause) athleticism, and ability to rush the passer, Smith has all of those qualities, he has just been injured for the past 3 seasons. I’m excited to see what a fully healthy Smith can do.

Very Curios to see if the trend of offenses struggling in week 1 carries over into our game, Dawson very rarely gets STOPPED outside of when TVD went brain dead. Notre dame can’t afford a shootout with Carson Beck.
