Deon preaching on the state of Florida football.

It's harder to build super teams in some of these states that are geographically less dense. For example, when I lived in Miami, I could have a kid that could have gone to Booker T., Jackson, Da West, Carol City, Central all within 30 minutes. No way if you live on one side of Houston, your kid can go to school at a powerhouse on the other side. It would take an hour and a half to get them there.

THANK YOU! Only somebody who went to school in Miami would understand this. And the school zones are even more wide open now since Rick Scott signed HB-7029.

Bro a kid who lives in Buford, GA cannot go to Westlake, GA and that's all Metro Atlanta it is impossible! Kids will transfer between South Dade, Southridge, Miami High, and Columbus LOL

Nah I got that lol. That was my point aswell. It is a lot easier to build super teams in Miami than in Texas. I went to HS in NYC and it was the same thing geography wise. The difference though is not one plays football up here lol.

If u live in the city limits of Miami you can just pick where you want to go to school. Norland one year, carol city, Jackson or Edison. It's actually pretty easy especially with the transportation. When those kids living out in the woods no public transportation gonna get you there. jarren Williams might have wanted to go to Mceachern and team up but Lawrenceville, GA is 50 miles from powder springs, GA LOL and an hour and a half each way in traffic.

LOL...but real talk, Stephen McGuire was one of my favorite Canes of all time, and He was a Brooklyn kid...and I see we have a Brooklyn kid committed for 19'. I've always believed NYC has a lot of hidden football talent, just gotta get some of those kids off the blacktop.

Exactly...school zones in Miami used to be determined by whatever school the Metro Bus dropped you off in front of...for me it was the 17.

Nah we have the talent and our kids are tough af. They know they can make a lot more money and have longer careers on the black top plus we have all the top AAU programs around them. Any kids that want to play football that are good in the 8th grade end up playing for the NJ private schools.

You don't know WTF you're talking about. Not much else to say.

You didn't say much as it is, so no problem. I'm guessing by your name that you coach kids in South Florida, and I'm not going to get mad at anyone for defending the kids they coach. I would do the same.

But when you're 4 head coaches and 15 years in, as UM is, then at some point it becomes silly to keep blaming schemes and coaches. How many schemes has Miami run over the past 15 years? How many coaches have we gone through? And still no results.

At some point you have to look to the one constant we've had this whole time - the players.

Wasn't FSU just contending for NC's a few years ago?
Or what about when Meyer was at UF?
How about UCF being undefeated 2 years in a row and beating fvckin' Auburn?

Or is that so long ago that a completely new generation of soft *** Florida kids have been raised?

I've made several valid points debunking this bullsh!t.

I have looked at that in the past. None of those teams have more than a handful of players from South Florida.

Why the **** would they?!
THEY'RE NOT LOCATED IN SOUTH FLORIDA!!!

That's like expecting Miami to have a bunch of Georgia kids. SMH

I bet if you look at some of their best players or key contributors you'll find FLA kids. Bama has been living off of FLA WR's for like 10 years now. And why the **** would any of those powerhouse schools recruit South FLA if our kids were soft? Why not just stay in their region?

I understand that. The point still stands. If Texas allowed all of their public school kids to transfer to the same school these already loaded teams would be significantly more loaded than they already are. That is 100% fact. It wont change who puts out more NFL talent, but it would change the outcome of these out of state HS games.

THE GOOD TEAMS IN TEXAS ARE ALREADY LOADED!!!!!
They match up with South FLA teams. And they have better coaching and facilities.

So because a team is loaded it is impossible for them to get more loaded? Are you seriously unable to see what I am saying? Let me give you an example to maybe make it easier for you to understand. American Heritage was loaded last year. Imagine if they added Trevor Lawrence to their team. They would be better correct? These already loaded Texas teams would be even better if they were allowed to have kids transfer to their school.

The FSU teams of a few years ago were loaded with 5-stars, and they played weak schedules. They had top 5 recruiting classes back to back to back. If we were that loaded with 5-stars, we would be in contention too... right up until we get smoked by a team with some heart.

The one year FSU actually won it, they lucked out with a generational quarterback, and they really lucked out by not having to play Alabama that year. I believe they played Duke in the ACC championship, and then Auburn in the BCS (no playoffs). I look at FSU's championship from that year the same as I look at the one Georgia Tech has from the late 80's..... that's nice, but you didn't really beat anybody.

Loaded as they were, don't you remember FSU getting taken behind the woodshed by Oregon the first year of the playoffs? It was like 55-3 or something truly embarrassing. And I recall Al Golden nearly beating them like 4 years in a row. That team WAS soft. It was a case of talent and a great quarterback masking a whole lot of softness. Then they had their sprirts broken by Alabama a couple years ago, and haven't recovered since. Those FSU teams never played any real competition, and when they did, they got their butts handed. Then Jimbo bolted to Texas AM, and now they're a dumpster fire.

If you're honest with yourself, these Miami/FSU/UF teams are nothing like the ones from the past. The teams in the 80's and 90's, early 2000's. Those teams looked different, and they had a different way about them. You can't tell me that 2013 FSU team is even in the same discussion as the great teams of old.

No way. Not even close.

So your argument is...

The FLA teams that travel and beat out-of-state teams only win because they're more loaded?

They're still soft though?
Just more loaded?

I am being 100% serious here. No disrespect. Did you even read my comments? I never said Florida players are soft. I am saying 1 thing.

Other states only allow players to play on public schools teams if they fall within a certain region of a city. Because of that they are at a disadvantage to Miami schools which allows kids to go to whatever public school they like.

the solution was butch will a predecessor being groomed. the end.
Richt was just fired, who pays someone 4 million days after they were canned.
The same people who extend a coach after an embarrassing and egregious crash ending to the previous season.
