Deon Bush is a 1st round talent

And you are clueless and need to watch the WNBA if u think otherwise!!

One of the best safeties to ever play at UM... I have him above Brandon Meriweather, maybe tied with Kenny Phillips.

How many times did you see him in the right position to make a play at the U during his career? How many int's? How many passes defended? How many TFL's? How many WR's did he lay out? Not many that I recall.

I watched every U game during the past 20 years, specially the last 4. I must have been watching the wrong games for I was not impressed with him at all. Unless he was under coached, which has happened around here a lot, I thought he was an underachiever big time. I think that Jamal Carter is twice as good at safety than Deon although I love Deon as a person.

Talk about a kid out of position....Jamal Carter come on down. Assuming he can get out of the doghouse nobody will benefit more from this new regime.

Deon progressed during the year and was becoming a dominant safety. He played phenomenally against Wazzu and was a big reason they did not score in the second half. I think he definitely has the talent to play well in the NFL, it is going to be a matter of his health.

Good safety. If healthy will make a lot of money. Comparable to Philips IMO, but i'd put him below that and on par with Merriweather. Clearly below our elite guys.

i think it is delirious to believe that deon is a first round talent. i dont see it and i love the kid and have known him and followed him since high school. i think he will be one that will progress tremendously with the right coaches, but he is not one of the top 32 players coming out of college!

Better than merriweather....go back and look up how many 10+ tackle games he had while at the U and get back to me. Bruh carried a defense on his back and also stomped out some bums at FIU. Deon is good but he ain't that good.

I think u don't have a clue what a football looks like if u don't think Deon Bush has 1st round talent smh

I love Deon, but he needs to learn to pick his spots on those hits. He comes in looking to lay the hammer every play, and his body just can't hold up to that beating.

I think he's got 1st round talent, but between the lost time recovering from hernia surgery, the other nicks and bumps he is prone to get, and the devaluation at safety.....I'm thinking he goes late 3rd or in the 4th.

And he'll be good, if he can stay on the field.

Top senior prospects for 2016 draft: Top 50 - NFL.com

Deon Bush, FS, Miami (Fla.)
The 'Canes haven't had a safety drafted since Brandon Meriweather and Kenny Phillips went in the first round in 2007 and 2008, respectively. That will change in 2015, with the 6-foot-1, 205-pound Bush offering range and intimidating hits in the back of the secondary. The Miami native should join the aforementioned "U" talents as a first-round pick if he continues to separate the ball from its owner (five forced fumbles last season) and increase his other production (had career highs of 53 tackles, four for loss, and three interceptions in 2014).

.

And lol at whoever is the blind ones on this board who think Jamal Carter is anywhere close to the player Deon Bush is... I don't hate one player to talk up another maybe Carter takes the next step under Rucht but He nor Rayshawn Jenkins are the type of player Deon is.

I love his talent, but expected a lot more from him this season. To me it seems like Jenkins was the most impressive of our safeties this year.

Jenkins was and is horrible. The only thing he has is good ball skills. He is not good in coverage and not good in run support because he can't tackle. Don't know what the **** you was watching this year.
