Deon Bush exploring going pro

Any kid that has a chance to escape - weather it be through transfer or declaring - needs to go. Another year here is simply going to set them back. It's 365 more days of poor conditioning, poor coaching, developing bad habits, etc. Just run.

Sadly. This.

He's not ready for the nfl and would likely be a late round pick at best.

He really struggled last year because of injury and then finished this season hurt.

No way of knowing if he would be a late round pick or not at this point... teamss dont pay attentiom to Kiper and McShay mock drafts. They have shown over the last couple drsfts that teams are no longer concerned with "reaching" on a player if they feel thats who they want.

Last season a number of lesser talented than Bush safeties were drafted in the first three rounds, depending on team needs and a strong NFL combine, Bush could be drafted just as high.

"Bush could be drafted just as high"

If my option was that I MIGHT be drafted that high or come back for another year. My *** is coming back.

I'm basing my opinion on concerns over his durability and production. The production issue could be a result of our **** defense, but he has also shown a propensity for getting nicked up every season he has been here.

Normally, you tell a guy like Bush to come back and improve his stock. It's more likely he'd hurt his stock coming back to this toilet.

On top of that, I heard Folden has his eye on a tenacious little 5'4" walk on safety named Shorty Schwartz, who is expected to eat up Bush's reps next year.

****. Schwartz is taller than I thought. I heard he was 5'2", and weighed 115.

Yeah, Bush will be lucky to see the field at all with Shorty coming in. New Jersey recruit, I believe.

Preferred walk on from Hillel Academy in Hoboken. Fun little guy to watch. He's got the Hasidic side burn dreadlocks flowing out of his ear holes.

Well, our CBs will be a strength next year. It'll free him up to make plays and hopefully increase his draft stock. It would help to have a better scheme, though.
I was surprised at how much Bush had bulked up when I saw close ups of him during the FSU game. He certainly could play closer to the line for run support, almost like a small LB, which is done in the NFL. To do this, the team must have CBs capable of man coverage. I suspect that we have talented CBs, but they have not been coached up. Another great job by Dorito.

If he can he should leave. Same goes for any junior. I have full confidence that players like Bush, Howard and McCord will shine in the NFL. They just need to get away from this coaching staff.

Why? You really think he's going to do anything but risk injury by coming back for another year of. Golden corching?

bush is a naturally aggressive kid being neutered by this staff. same as jamal carter.

Jamal Carter has been terrible so far and I'm not sure how much coaching has to do with it.

He plays stiff. Bad angles, bad tackling. Awful in coverage.

do you remember all-american safety roy williams out of oklahoma? you know what stoops did for him b/c he wasn't great in coverage (as exposed in the nfl)...stoops took his aggressiveness and had him play closer to the L.O.S so that any wr on a crossing route had second thoughts about catching that ball. he was used to play everywhere. ramsey sucks in coverage, but he's all world b/c fisher has that guy play the jack position where's literally lined up all over the field. he's using his athletic abilities to cover up his flaws...that's called coaching. carter is a man-child but he sucks in coverage...so use him as a jack and allow him to bring ferocity. did you see that sack that was called back in the pitt game? did you see how he almost ripped off the qb's head? this scheme doesn't fit him, at all....just like most of our players, unfortunately.
