Denzel Perryman

His flip over the line of scrimmage and suplex sack against USC will always rank as one of my favorite plays.

I'm gonna have to put some ketchup on this one cause I can't agree with you. In no way am I trying to slight Shaq but I'd take Perryman over him.
I wouldn’t, people have underrated shaq for far too long. Yes perryman was a harder hitter, but Give me the more productive and complete player

Quarterman in 4 seasons
356 tackles 46.5 tackles for loss 12 sacks 1 int
2 ff

Perryman in 4 seasons
351 tackles 27 tackles for loss 4 sacks 2 ints 6 ff

You can say quarterman played in a better scheme but so have these other linebackers we have had since shaq left and none come close to producing anything shaq did at all

Perryman played for Dorito and his **** *** scheme. imo that trumps all stat advantages for Shaq. It's not that big of a deal, I'm glad to see you around and don't want to talk negatively about Shaq. I'd like to leave it at that if you're cool with it. I'm a big Shaq fan also.

Saw them both play in dozens of games on TV and in person. My eyes told me Perryman is a level above Shaq, who is several levels above everyone else since Richt took over the program.

Denzel is a beast. In my opinion, he was the better LB.

Loved Shaq too, and thought he got a lot of crap, as well as Pinckney. Those dudes were playing in Mandy’s crap scheme and still making plays, that’s all you need to know how good they were.

Also, Michael Barrow says hello. Dude hit Vanover so hard in the 92 game that he still hasn’t woken up.

I can’t believe this is even up for discussion. No disrespect to Shaq, as he was our last serviceable linebacker, but Perryman is better in every aspect of the game.

Perryman>>>>>Shaq>>>>>>current lbers
He NEVER was better than shaq in rushing the passer. Some of you can’t be watching the games

He played in D’Onfrio’s system which is actually worse than Manny’s system. Shaq was allowed to blitz a lot more, hence the higher sack total. Shaq was a good linebacker, no doubt, but 100% of us are taking Perryman over him in any given situation and it’s not even close.

Perryman had 100+ tackles each of his final two seasons, in a scheme that was not LB friendly. (Read/React)

There’s a reason Perryman was a 2nd round pick despite his size vs. Shaq being a 4th round pick. There’s a reason Perryman, despite his injury history, became an immediate starter, while Quarterman is barely sniffing the field (10 total tackles on the season).

Currently NFL leader in tackles after today’s game. Couple players might surpass him after they play on Sunday, but is having an incredible season.

Exactly. I told Raider fans if Denzel is healthy, they’ll enjoy him. They’ve been enjoying him.
Yep, I didn’t want to bring up his previous injuries, but he produces like a MF when healthy. Remember watching some Chargers games and seeing him dressed out on the sidelines. Obviously limiting his play due to injuries. So happy for him this year.
