I will definitely point out failures and successes. I wasn't high on hiring Mario, but the things being afforded to only him, sold me. Steele and Strong were good hires at the wrong time. They should have never taken the job with Mario at their age's. They weren't going to be happy with the job obligations with their success and age. Gattis was a terrible hire. It appears a little research would have flagged a no interview. Guidry, I still can't understand what happened to him. I don't believe he can coach, now. I do know he wouldn't use a tablet which should be a prerequisite as a CO today. His adjustments late were bad from the beginning. Several other hires were iffy. My opinion could be wrong, but I think Heatherman is the hire we needed. Everyone likes JT, but I love the Lewis hire also. I truly like every hire on the D and I think they are going to work well together, even with a few weaknesses right now. Knock on wood, we stay relatively healthy.

Knowing what I know now, I don’t get the Gattis hire.

Steele didn’t have patience for a rebuild.
Giudry couldn’t handle criticism and was stubborn.

The thing that gets me is that gattis’s toxicity was well known before he came here. Plus folks knew he had virtually little say at bama and Michigan he was not the main play caller and was already having issues there. For as exhaustive as Mario’s interviews/screenings supposedly are he either didn’t know (which is alarming) or he didn’t care (which is also alarming).

Since you are a UM alum, do I slurp you too? I think your argument is very close to the Robert DeNiro observation about nipples and milk.

I have criticized my own alma mater plenty. Called out Julio and Beta Blake for their incompetence over and over and over again and demanded their firings.

As for Mario, I said the failure to take a knee vs. GaTech was unforgivable. I said it immediately when it happened, I still mean it.

That’s true you do criticize the AD so I’d say any slurping is strictly institutional. Im not a UM alumn, I’m a rabid townie, so no you don’t slurp me regardless.
